The OPFA is based in Ashlea Gardens in Pretoria.<\/p>\n<p>The OPFA seeks to appoint a Legal Intern to investigate and resolve complaints.<\/p>\n<p><u>The individual will be exposed to the following areas:<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Attend to walk in complaints in lodging new complaints<\/li>\n<li>Draft and send initial letters to the parties.<\/li>\n<li>Draft and send reply\/follow-up letters.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure documents are sent to the correct parties.<\/li>\n<li>Receive responses and replies as well as saving them on Software system (Respond).<\/li>\n<li>Engage and Investigation of complaints as well as drafting of determinations in terms of the work flow.<\/li>\n<li>Engage with parties to a complaint in relation to the administrative aspects of the file\/investigation.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare draft letters based on research and direction given by the Team Leader.<\/li>\n<li>Request for reply letters from complainant.<\/li>\n<li>Request confirmation of settlement from the parties.<\/li>\n<li>Peruse responses from parties and advice the team leader if further information is required<\/li>\n<li>Follow up on undertakings to respond.<\/li>\n<li>Request all necessary investigation reports.<\/li>\n<li>Keep record of all files allocated to them.<\/li>\n<li>Keep all correspondence relating to a complaint together including telephone calls, emails, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Submit weekly and monthly statistics to the team leader.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u>Qualifications and Experience<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Tertiary Qualifications<\/li>\n<li>LLB degree<\/li>\n<li>Certificate in Pension Funds law (Added advantage)<\/li>\n<li>Practical Legal Training (Added) Advantage<\/li>\n<li>No experience required<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u>Key competencies<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Computer Literacy (MS Word, Excel, Ms Outlook)<\/li>\n<li>Communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Listening skills (verbal and written)<\/li>\n<li>Self-motivated<\/li>\n<li>Planning and organising<\/li>\n<li>Resilience<\/li>\n<li>Ability to analyse, interpret, solve problems and making of legal arguments to reach a conclusion.<\/li>\n<li>Good writing skills with the ability to express complex concepts.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to make investigative decisions in the resolution of complaints.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>HOW TO APPLY<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested persons should apply in writing by submitting their curriculum vitae to <a href=\"mailto:careers@pfa.org.za\">careers@pfa.org.za<\/a> and for further enquiries contact Kurhula Masinge on 012 784 4081 or send via email to <a href=\"mailto:Kurhula.Masinge@pfa.org.za\">Kurhula.Masinge@pfa.org.za<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Closing date for applications is Friday, 3 March 2017<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pfa.org.za\/Careers\/Pages\/Career-Opportunities-at-the-OPFA.aspx\" target=\"_new\"><u><strong>Click Here to VIEW CAREER PAGE<\/strong><\/u><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Office of the Pension Funds Adjudicator (OPFA) is a statutory body established in terms of the Pension Funds Act, 24 of 1956 to investigate complaints referred to it in&#8230;..<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"om_disable_all_campaigns":false,"jetpack_post_was_ever_published":false,"_jetpack_newsletter_access":"","_jetpack_newsletter_tier_id":0,"footnotes":"","jetpack_publicize_message":"","jetpack_is_tweetstorm":false,"jetpack_publicize_feature_enabled":true,"jetpack_social_post_already_shared":true,"jetpack_social_options":{"image_generator_settings":{"template":"highway","enabled":false}}},"categories":[326],"tags":[],"jetpack_publicize_connections":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.5 -
