{"id":35457,"date":"2017-02-24T10:17:27","date_gmt":"2017-02-24T08:17:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=35457"},"modified":"2017-02-28T00:31:30","modified_gmt":"2017-02-27T22:31:30","slug":"english-specialist-recruitment-etonkids","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/english-specialist-recruitment-etonkids.html","title":{"rendered":"English Specialist Recruitment Opportunity at Etonkids"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>English Department Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>School Year 2017-2018<\/p>\n<p><strong>English Specialist<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The English Specialist plays an essential teaching role an individual campus under the guidance of his\/her Campus Principal and the Deputy Head of the English Department and is responsible for direct implementation and instruction of the Etonkids English Curriculum to his\/her assigned classroom and students (either ages 0-2.5 or 2.5-6). The English Specialist will report directly to his\/her Lead Montessori Teacher and develop a team-oriented environment with his\/her classroom teaching team.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Accountabilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepare and create teaching materials each month to match the existing English curriculum.<\/li>\n<li>Implement curriculum properly in the classroom and provide feedback to relevant Department.<\/li>\n<li>Lead English lessons during scheduled times and provide an immersive English-speaking environment throughout the day.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor student progress, ;\u00a0 identify developmental needs, and maintain a portfolio for each student<\/li>\n<li>Attend professional development days and weekly meetings with the classroom teaching team<\/li>\n<li>Assist other staff in reviewing and editing English materials, parent letters, and Student Reports<br \/>\nGreet students and parents at the door (model and practice English) while maintaining a good relationships with parents and keeping them well-informed about the student\u2019s progress.<\/li>\n<li>Represent Etonkids and participate at campus, school, and community events as needed.<\/li>\n<li>Help cover classes in the event of a colleague\u2019s absence as deemed necessary by the Campus Principal.<\/li>\n<li>Fulfill additional duties and responsibilities that are in line with the employment contract as instructed by Etonkids management.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications, Skills, Experience, and Competencies<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Native English Speaker or BA\/MA in Native English Speaking Country (US, UK,CA,RSA,IR,NZ,AUS)<\/li>\n<li>Completed Bachelor\u2019s Degree (Early Childhood Education or Master\u2019s Degree preferred)<br \/>\n-non-native speakers are required to hold a degree form a Native English Speaking Country (US, UK,CA,RSA,IR,NZ,AUS)<\/li>\n<li>Minimum 2+ years in ESL early childhood education experience (preferred)<\/li>\n<li>TEFL\/TESOL\/ELL Certification (unless degree is in TESOL or Eraly Childhood Education)<\/li>\n<li>0-3 or 3-6 Montessori Certification (preferred)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Skills<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Proven communication skills both orally and in writing.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent organizational and administrative skills.<\/li>\n<li>Team player with respect for diversity.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Proven experience in the field of preschool or early childhood education (preferred).<br \/>\nPackage<\/li>\n<li>Base salary starting at RMB13,500-16,500 (depending on location)<\/li>\n<li>100% Insurance coverage (after probation)<\/li>\n<li>Master\u2019s Degree or EMTTA (American Montessori Certificate) scholarship program for Employees<\/li>\n<li>Children tuition discount<\/li>\n<li>Annual bonuses<\/li>\n<li>Professional development within the organization<\/li>\n<li>100% Visa and Immigration support<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Contact: International HR Manager <strong>SarahVillasenor@Etonkids.com<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Additional notes:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Please note that due to current PRC immigration regulations an original BA degree and an original TEFL\/TESOL certificate will be required when applying for your working permit.<\/p>\n<p>*The estimated visa process time varies between 2-4 months.<\/p>\n<p>Disclaimer:<br \/>\nSpecific terms and conditions of Employment may be subject to change under PRC labor regulations and internal policy from Etonkids Educational Group.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>English Department Job Description School Year 2017-2018 English Specialist The English Specialist plays an essential teaching role an individual campus under the guidance of his\/her Campus Principal and the Deputy&#8230;..<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"om_disable_all_campaigns":false,"jetpack_post_was_ever_published":false,"_jetpack_newsletter_access":"","_jetpack_newsletter_tier_id":0,"footnotes":"","jetpack_publicize_message":"","jetpack_is_tweetstorm":false,"jetpack_publicize_feature_enabled":true,"jetpack_social_post_already_shared":true,"jetpack_social_options":{"image_generator_settings":{"template":"highway","enabled":false}}},"categories":[343,2255],"tags":[],"jetpack_publicize_connections":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.5 -
