Location Netcare Parklands Hospital<\/p>\n<p>Reporting structure Pharmacy Manager<\/p>\n<p><u>ROLE SUMMARY<\/u><\/p>\n<p>Pharmacist Assistants work closely with a Pharmacist to ensure safe and appropriate medication management.<\/p>\n<p><u>KEY WORK OUTPUT AND ACCOUNTABILITIES<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Dispensing of medication under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist<\/li>\n<li>Advisory and information service \/ Primary Health Care Service under the supervision of the pharmacist<\/li>\n<li>Stock Control<\/li>\n<li>Communication<\/li>\n<li>Compliance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u>Key Performance Areas Include:<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist Pharmacists in all aspects of dispensing, procurement and ethical stock control<\/li>\n<li>Assist and offer advice on the usage, side effects, contra-indications and storage of medication to patients and other members in the health care team.<\/li>\n<li>Capture of in-patients and prescriptions and TTO\u2019s<\/li>\n<li>Involvement in clinical pharmacy services under the supervision of a Pharmacist<\/li>\n<li>Manufacturing of galenicals and compounding of mixtures under the supervision of a pharmacist<\/li>\n<li>Management of designated stock area<\/li>\n<li>Involvement in all aspects of cyclical and full stock take process<\/li>\n<li>Keep updated with new developments in Pharmaceutical field<\/li>\n<li>Related administrative tasks pertaining to document flow and housekeeping tasks<\/li>\n<li>All administrative and reporting functions on Unisolve and SAP<\/li>\n<li>Effectively communicate with patients, pharmacists, ward staff and internal departments and handling of queries.<\/li>\n<li>Any other duties deemed necessary by the Line Manager<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u>SKILLS PROFILE<\/u><\/p>\n<p><strong>EDUCATION<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Matric or Grade 12 with Mathematics, English, Biology\/Life Sciences Printed copies of this document are uncontrolled and must be destroyed after use<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u>VALUES AND BEHAVIOURS<\/u><\/p>\n<p>Netcare Values At Netcare, our core value is care.
