Johannesburg Water (JW) was established in January 2000 as an independent company, the city of Johannesburg being the sole shareholder.<\/p>\n
The company formation is an outcome of the iGoli 2002 transformation plan embarked on by the former Greater Johannesburg Metropolitan Council.<\/p>\n
Johannesburg Water has been mandated the responsibility of providing water and sanitation to three million residents of the City of Johannesburg.<\/p>\n
Services will be provided along business principles, ensuring customer satisfaction and cost recovery. Residents throughout the city can look forward to improving levels of service and additional water connections in areas where they do not exist.<\/p>\n
It is a R8.3bn turnover company employing 12 500 people, and its core purpose is to provide water and sanitation services to approximately 5,3 million people.<\/p>\n

2. Wastewater Treatment Works X1
\nBSc with Biochemistry, Chemistry or Microbiology or a B Tech in Wastewater<\/p>\n
3. Microbiology X1
\nBSc Microbiology or S4 Microbiology or S4 Biotechnology<\/p>\n
4. Chemistry X6
\nBSc Chemistry or S4 in Analytical Chemistry<\/p>\n
5. Stakeholder Relations X1
\nDegree in Public Administration 6. Communication & Marketing X1 Degree or National Diploma in Communication<\/p>\n
7. Civil Engineering X1
\nS4 in Civil Engineering preference with P1 and P2.

\n\u2022 Empower youth with the necessary skills to ensure that they become marketable
\n\u2022 Create an opportunity for students who have completed their studies to familiarize themselves with the working environment and gain practical experience
\n\u2022 Increase the awareness among young people of the job and career opportunities at Johannesburg Water.<\/p>\n
To qualify, applicants must have completed their qualification within the last five years and be under the age of 30.<\/p>\n
