The Head of Department of the Gauteng Provincial Department of Co-operative Governance and Traditional Affairs hereby invites registered\/admitted under\/post graduate students to apply for bursaries to undertake full-time studies in the 2017 academic year. CoGTA is offering 20 bursaries.<\/p>\n
6 bursaries of which are earmarked for dependants of military veterans (confirmation of registration in this regards must be attached).<\/p>\n
Applicants must pursue full-time under\/post graduate studies in the following fields:<\/u><\/p>\n The Bursary covers:<\/u><\/p>\n Tuition and registration fees, prescribed books and\/or study material and is limited to the maximum value of R 30,000.00 per learner, for the 2017 academic year.<\/p>\n REQUIREMENTS:<\/u><\/p>\n Applicants must be South African citizens between the ages of 18 and 35, completed grade 12, applicants must reside in Gauteng, already registered or in possession of admission letter from an accredited institution within Gauteng Province.<\/p>\n INSTRUCTIONS:<\/u><\/p>\n Selection of successful candidates will be strictly based on academic merit.<\/p>\n Applicants are expected to study at an accredited South African tertiary institution within Gauteng.<\/p>\n It is the student’s responsibility to seek\/obtain admission with a tertiary institution.<\/p>\n The bursary is for post\/under graduate qualifications of no less than 360 NQF Credits.<\/p>\n Successful candidates will be required to enter into a Bursary Contract.<\/p>\n CoGTA has no obligation to employ the bursary holder on completion of the qualification.<\/p>\n Applicants should not hold concurrent bursaries or financial study assistance from other organisations\/institutions.<\/p>\n The Department is committed to Employment Equity; therefore preference will be given to candidates from disadvantaged groups.<\/p>\n Candidates in the Affirmative Action categories are particularly encouraged to apply.<\/p>\n Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.<\/p>\n Failure to provide any of the required documents in a manner that is prescribed will result in disqualification of the application and as such deemed non-responsive.<\/p>\n NOTES:<\/strong><\/p>\n Applications must be in an envelope clearly marked APPLICATION FOR CoGTA EXTERNAL BURSARY PROGRAMME 2017, indicate the field applying for.<\/p>\n Pre-selected applicants will be required to provide parents\u2019\/guardians proof of income.<\/p>\n Bursary application forms are available from: Reception Area, Ground Floor Bank of Lisbon Building, cnr Pixley Seme and Albertina Sisulu Street, Marshalltown (Opposite library gardens) or www.cogta.gpg.gov.za.<\/strong><\/u><\/a><\/p>\n Certified copies of the following must accompany applications: Most recent academic record.<\/p>\n South African Identity Document.<\/p>\n Proof of residency in Gauteng (Statement of Water and Lights, Rates and Taxes).<\/p>\n Completed application forms can be hand delivered or posted to:<\/u><\/p>\n Department of Co-operative Governance and Traditional Affairs, Human Capital Management, Sub-Directorate:<\/u><\/p>\n Human Capital Utilization and Development Private Bag X 79, Marshalltown, 2107 or Hand delivered to: Department of Co-operative Governance and Traditional Affairs.<\/p>\n No 37 Cnr of Pixley Seme & Albertina Sisulu Street, Bank of Lisbon, Johannesburg, 2001.<\/p>\n Different applications must be submitted separately if applying for more than one bursary opportunity.<\/p>\n PEOPLE LIVING WITH DISABILITY ARE ENCOURAGED TO APPLY.<\/p>\n Closing Date: 24 April 2017<\/p>\n Due to the large number of applications we envisage receiving, only successful applicants will be contacted.<\/p>\n\n
