{"id":36060,"date":"2017-04-20T11:54:15","date_gmt":"2017-04-20T09:54:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=36060"},"modified":"2017-04-20T11:54:15","modified_gmt":"2017-04-20T09:54:15","slug":"sanccob-marketing-fundraising-internship-2017","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/sanccob-marketing-fundraising-internship-2017.html","title":{"rendered":"SANCCOB Marketing and Fundraising Internship 2017"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>SANCCOB has a position available for a Marketing and Fundraising Intern to join their Cape Town centre in Table View.<\/p>\n<p>Although no stipend is offered, this is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified young person to gain valuable work experience in a well-established organisation, over a period of 3-6 months.<\/p>\n<p>The Southern African Foundation for the Conservation of Coastal Birds is a leading marine conservation non-profit organisation.<\/p>\n<p><b>Key responsibilities<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist the Marketing and Fundraising Officer with:<\/li>\n<li>Planning and implementing marketing and fundraising campaigns (such as the Donate a Brick and Adopt a Penguin campaigns)<\/li>\n<li>Events and <span id=\"IL_AD2\" class=\"IL_AD\">activations<\/span> (such as the annual benefit auction and Penguin Festival)<\/li>\n<li>SANCCOB\u2019s <span id=\"IL_AD8\" class=\"IL_AD\">social media sites<\/span>, social media planning, producing written and marketing content<\/li>\n<li>Producing press releases for local and international media and supporters<\/li>\n<li>Photography and <span id=\"IL_AD5\" class=\"IL_AD\">video<\/span> content creation<\/li>\n<li>Media and film crews<\/li>\n<li>Requesting auction items for the on-going <span id=\"IL_AD3\" class=\"IL_AD\">online<\/span> auction<\/li>\n<li>Assist the Fundraising Assistant with:<\/li>\n<li>Processing adoption packs<\/li>\n<li>Receipting donations, recording donor data and preparing and sending thank you letters<\/li>\n<li>Requesting in-kind donations<\/li>\n<li>Conducting weekly stock takes<\/li>\n<li>General filing and administrative assistance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>The successful candidate will have demonstrable proof of the following:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Tertiary <span id=\"IL_AD4\" class=\"IL_AD\">qualification<\/span> in marketing, media or public relations (or similar)<\/li>\n<li>A passion for marketing and fundraising for a cause<\/li>\n<li>Excellent interpersonal and public skills, outgoing personality<\/li>\n<li>Ability to multitask and work under pressure<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work in a team-oriented environment while maintaining an individual workload<\/li>\n<li>Advanced <span id=\"IL_AD7\" class=\"IL_AD\">computer<\/span> skills (Microsoft Office Suite)<\/li>\n<li>Strong administration skills<\/li>\n<li>Valid Code 8 <span id=\"IL_AD6\" class=\"IL_AD\">drivers<\/span> licence<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Length: 3-6 month <span id=\"IL_AD1\" class=\"IL_AD\">internship<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Closing date: 21 April 2017<\/p>\n<p>Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 08:00-17:00<\/p>\n<p>Please forward CV, a letter of motivation and design\/portfolio (if available) to<a href=\"mailto:ronnis@sanccob.co.za\"> ronnis@sanccob.co.za<\/a> for attention: Marketing and Fundraising Officer.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SANCCOB has a position available for a Marketing and Fundraising Intern to join their Cape Town centre in Table View.
