{"id":36070,"date":"2017-04-27T10:53:07","date_gmt":"2017-04-27T08:53:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=36070"},"modified":"2017-04-27T11:43:34","modified_gmt":"2017-04-27T09:43:34","slug":"afs-graduate-internship-programme-2017-2018","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/afs-graduate-internship-programme-2017-2018.html","title":{"rendered":"AFS: Graduate \/ Internship Programme 2017 \/ 2018"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Closing Date: 24 April 2017<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>POSITION: Trainee Technicians x6<br \/>\nDEPARTMENT: Technical Divisions (Mining and Forecourt Technical)<br \/>\nLOCATION: Johannesburg x2; Witbank x3 and Rustenburg x1<br \/>\nREPORTING TO: Technical Training Officer<\/p>\n<p>DURATION: 12 months<\/p>\n<p>AFS is running a SETA supported Work Integrated Learning Program with an aim to assist recent technical\/engineering graduates acquire work experience in the field of their study.<br \/>\nThe program incorporates work experience supported with coaching, mentorship and further technical training on in-house programs and products.<br \/>\nIt is opened to individuals who have NOT been previously employed under any graduate program or learnership<\/p>\n<p><strong>EXPECTATIONS<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Learners to<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Comply with all workplace policies and procedures, including time and attendance<\/li>\n<li>Comply with all Health and Safety procedures and practices<\/li>\n<li>Undertake all learning related to the training program conscientiously, including learning that may take place outside of the company\u2019s premises<\/li>\n<li>Attend all theoretical training and practical learning activities as directed by Training Officer<\/li>\n<li>Diligently participate in the mentorship programs as offered by the business<\/li>\n<li>Complete and timely submit all required reports; projects and other documents related to the program<\/li>\n<li>Participate in any assessment activities on an ongoing basis as well as complete the final assessment for the program<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>SKILLSAND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Skills:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Computer literate<\/li>\n<li>Good communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Good time management<\/li>\n<li>Well-developed research skills<\/li>\n<li>A learners\u2019 licence a basic requirement and a valid drivers\u2019 licence would be advantageous<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Attributes<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Attention to detail<\/li>\n<li>Persistent<\/li>\n<li>Self-driven<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work in a team and to work independently<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>QUALIFICATIONS<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Grade 12<\/li>\n<li>Recently graduated with a tertiary qualification from a TVET\/FET College; A University of Technology or a registered Private Technical College<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Successfully completed Electrical Engineering (Light current)\/Auto-electrician\/Instrumentation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How To Apply<\/strong><br \/>\nPlease send your CV and a cover letter, quoting<strong><em> the reference: WIL 2017 <\/em><\/strong>to <a href=\"mailto:hradverts@afsgroup.co.za\">hradverts@afsgroup.co.za<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Closing Date: 24 April 2017.
