EThekwini Municipality is committed to promoting and supporting access to quality and relevant integrated training interventions, career development and skills opportunities through a series of programmes.<\/p>\n
Some of the programmes that we offer are:<\/u><\/p>\n
Experiential Learning<\/strong><\/p>\n This is part of the schools educational programme where learners experience the world of work.<\/p>\n It is short term ie. A five day placement of secondary school learners with employers.<\/p>\n Learners are placed with employers to observe and learn \u2013 not to undertake activities which require training and expertise.<\/p>\n This programme targets Grades 10 -12 learners.<\/p>\n In \u2013 Service Training<\/strong><\/p>\n This programme targets students who are currently studying and who are required to undertake practical\u2019s to complete their qualification. Students benefit through gaining \u2018real life\u2019 work exposure for a period of 6-12 months.<\/p>\n Work Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n Work experience placements are specifically designed for recently graduated, unemployed people who are between the ages of 18 -35, residing within the eThekwini Municipal area.<\/p>\n Internships:<\/strong><\/p>\n This programme is designed to assist graduates and\/or post graduates who are required register with a professional body in order to practice their profession.<\/p>\n Candidates must be between the ages of 18-35 and reside within the eThekwini Municipal area.<\/p>\n Learnerships:<\/strong><\/p>\n A great way to gain valuable on the job experience.<\/p>\n Our learnerships consist of a structured theoretical learning component and practical work experience and is designed to enable learners to navigate across diverse employment contexts.<\/p>\n Our learnerships culminates in a qualification that is registered with SAQA.<\/p>\n
