{"id":36108,"date":"2017-04-27T11:33:19","date_gmt":"2017-04-27T09:33:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=36108"},"modified":"2017-04-27T11:35:40","modified_gmt":"2017-04-27T09:35:40","slug":"x5-service-training-internships-radar-electronic-warfare-technician","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/x5-service-training-internships-radar-electronic-warfare-technician.html","title":{"rendered":"X5 In-service Training and Internships: Radar and Electronic Warfare Technician"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The CSIR has In-service and x5 Internship opportunities in the Radar and Electronic Warfare (REW) competence area within the Defence, Peace, Safety and Security (DPSS) unit.<\/p>\n<p>The programme aims to expose candidates and students to the work environment and provide them with workplace experience in the areas of design, manufacturing and maintenance of electronic and electro-mechanical components and subsystems for REW systems.<\/p>\n<p>These positions are based in Pretoria.<\/p>\n<p><u>Key responsibilities:<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Technical support and maintenance of Mobile Radar and Electronic Warfare facilities and laboratories;<\/li>\n<li>Electronic and electro-mechanical support.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u>Qualifications, skills and experience:<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>For In-service: currently enrolled for a National Diploma in electronic or electro mechanical engineering;<\/li>\n<li>For Internship: A National Diploma in electronic or electro mechanical engineering;<\/li>\n<li>Prior exposure to maintenance work will be an advantage; Prior exposure to soldering, welding, operating hand power tools and general workshop machinery will be an advantage;<\/li>\n<li>Competent use of Microsoft packages;<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work in a team environment;<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of Radar components such as Radio Frequency building blocks, Radar Signal and Processors, Power Supply, Cooling Systems etc;<\/li>\n<li>Willingness to travel to project sites,<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work in a physically demanding and military environment,<\/li>\n<li>Good communication skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>HOW TO APPLY<\/strong><br \/>\nShould you meet the above requirements, please email your CV to <a href=\"mailto:jobapplications@csir.co.za\">jobapplications@csir.co.za<\/a> with your name and surname, position title and reference number in the subject line, (e.g. John Smith: REW In-service and Internships: Reference No: 308011)<\/p>\n<p>Closing date: 06 May 2017<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.csir.co.za\/vacancies\" target=\"_new\"><u><strong>Click Here to VIEW MORE OPPORTUNITIES AT CSIR<\/strong><\/u><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The CSIR has In-service and x5 Internship opportunities in the Radar and Electronic Warfare (REW) competence area within the Defence, Peace, Safety and Security (DPSS) unit.
