The Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) is a leading scientific and technology
\nresearch organisation, implementing projects throughout Africa and making a difference in people\u2019s

The CSIR has an In-service Training opportunity at the International Convention Centre. The This position is based in Pretoria. Key responsibilities:<\/b> All applications<\/span> must be accompanied by the following documents:<\/b>

\nexperience required to fulfil their qualification<\/span>.<\/p>\n

\n<\/b>About the centre:<\/b>
\nThe CSIR ICC is a dedicated, purpose-built convention center catering for the medium-sized
\nconvention market hosting over 600 local, national and international conferences and other types of
\nevents annually.<\/p>\n
\n\uf0b7 Manage switchboard by answering and directing calls;
\n\uf0b7 Assist with signage;
\n\uf0b7 Manage the reception desk of the ICC;
\n\uf0b7 Manage the reservations office (this includes filing, events coordination, bookings<\/span>and other administration duties);
\n\uf0b7 Welcome all clients and delegates at the centre;
\n\uf0b7 Capture information of all delegates feedback and client evaluation forms;
\n\uf0b7 Conduct annual quality management reviews;
\n\uf0b7 Provide customer relations services to day visitors;
\n\uf0b7 Update sales call database;
\n\uf0b7 Conduct research and sales calls.

\n<\/b>Qualifications, skills and experience:<\/b>
\n\uf0b7 Currently enrolled for a three year qualification in hospitality management (must have completed two years\u2019 theoretical component of the qualification);
\n\uf0b7 An outstanding academic record<\/span> for the two years of study;
\n\uf0b7 Strong interpersonal skills;
\n\uf0b7 Ability to work flexible hours in a dynamic environment would be an advantage;
\n\uf0b7 Computer<\/span> skills (Microsoft Office);
\n\uf0b7 Good communication skills both spoken and written;
\n\uf0b7 Ability to pay attention to detail and accuracy;
\n\uf0b7 Ability to be systematic;
\n\uf0b7 Good interpersonal
