It is a market leader in the use of predictive coding for e-disclosure in the UK and worked on the first UK Commercial Court matter to use it. Our clients benefit fully from the enhanced value and time-saving that leading technology and innovation in delivery can provide, while also saving money.<\/p><\/div>\n Key responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 Conducting document review, due diligence and other fee-earning work as required The business launched in June 2015, bringing together the key parts of our alternative legal services offering to create a global team of over 400 lawyers, legal analysts and technologists.<\/p><\/div>\n Location: Johannesburg<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n\u2022 Providing general support to the Manager, Senior Lawyers and Lawyers
\n\u2022 Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of relevant areas of law to the local office’s practice
\n\u2022 Ensuring compliance<\/span> with financial disciplines on matters (e.g. daily time-recording; there will be target average daily chargeable<\/span> hours)
\n\u2022 Providing other assistance to the business on client matters and related tasks as required
\nCommitment<\/span> to the ILLPAs participants of the ILLP, Legal Analysts will also be expected to:
\n\u2022 Attend, participate in and complete all learning and development modules
\n\u2022 Apply the learning in their day-to-day roles
\n\u2022 Complete and keep up to date their personal learning log
\n\u2022 Support the performance and effectiveness of colleagues joining the programme<\/span>as part of further cohorts by transferring knowledge and skills.<\/div>\n
\n\u2022 Ability to review, analyse<\/span> and organise documentary and factual evidence
\n\u2022 Excellent attention to detail<\/span>; aims to get it right first time
\n\u2022 Good verbal and written communication skills
\n\u2022 Aptitude for learning (and becoming proficient in) the use of software and IT applications<\/span>, and using software tools intelligently to navigate large databases\/document management systems<\/p>\n
