He\/she will also perform minor repairs to equipment and assist with all other servicing needs.<\/p>\n<p>The IT intern will provide direct technical assistance and support to staff for network, hardware and software issues including installing and maintaining computer systems, resolving internet and network access issues, providing network printer support and determining causes of computer\/software\/Network malfunctions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>KEY TASKS &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>First line user support<\/li>\n<li>Logging of all tickets<\/li>\n<li>Assist with setting up video conferences<\/li>\n<li>Record and label assets in <span id=\"IL_AD4\" class=\"IL_AD\">register<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Prepare and follow up on orders<\/li>\n<li>Weekly backup rotation<\/li>\n<li>Submit requests for new e-mail addresses to Global e-mail support<\/li>\n<li>Add\/ remove users from mailing lists<\/li>\n<li>Monitor antivirus software and updates and repair computers infected with spyware, adware and\/or viruses.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in maintaining inventory records and documentation for equipment.<\/li>\n<li>Perform other duties\/projects as assigned.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>REQUIREMENTS<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Experience and Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must be pursuing or have completed an IT\/network related <span id=\"IL_AD5\" class=\"IL_AD\">qualification<\/span>.<\/li>\n<li>A good understanding of computer network cabling and network <span id=\"IL_AD2\" class=\"IL_AD\">file<\/span> and <span id=\"IL_AD6\" class=\"IL_AD\">print<\/span>\u00a0services.<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in computer <span id=\"IL_AD1\" class=\"IL_AD\">applications<\/span>: Microsoft Excel, <span id=\"IL_AD3\" class=\"IL_AD\">Microsoft Word<\/span>, Microsoft <span id=\"IL_AD7\" class=\"IL_AD\">PowerPoint<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Minimum of six months paid or volunteer work experience with computer desktop\u00a0support in a networked environment for a small to mid-sized organization.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Personal Attributes:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to prioritize tasks and efficiently manage time.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to exercise good judgment and effectiveness in working with a high performing team<\/li>\n<li>Strong oral and written communications skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to respond effectively to inquiries or complaints.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to develop, maintain, and promote strong internal and external relationships<\/li>\n<li>Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>AVAILABILITY:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>Must be available to work a minimum of 24 hours per week.<\/li>\n<li>Must be available and willing to commit at least six (6) months.<\/li>\n<li>Ideal starting date: July 2017<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-0398974026399434\" data-ad-format=\"auto\" data-ad-slot=\"5885050342\" data-adsbygoogle-status=\"done\"><\/ins><ins id=\"aswift_6_expand\"><\/ins><ins id=\"aswift_6_anchor\"><\/ins><b><a href=\"https:\/\/msfsa.bamboohr.co.uk\/jobs\/view.php?id=69\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">CLICK HERE TO APPLY<\/a><\/b><br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>Closing Date: 18 June 2017.\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong>Please note that applicants need to be <span id=\"IL_AD8\" class=\"IL_AD\">eligible<\/span> to work in South Africa and provide the necessary documentation upon request.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The IT intern will respond to user requests for service, troubleshoot problems and assist in\u00a0developing solutions.
