The initiative aims to provide the country\u2019s emerging researchers with international training and exposure in science, engineering and technology.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Why study at the University of Cambridge?<\/strong><br \/>\nThe University is regularly ranked as one of the best in the world<\/p>\n<p>Its lecturers and researchers are world-leading experts and the University offers superb resources and facilities.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Eligibility<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>South African citizens who intend to study towards a <b>PhD in science, engineering or technology<\/b> at the University of Cambridge.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Apply to the University of Cambridge via its website <a href=\"http:\/\/www.careersportal.co.za\/www.graduate.study.cam.ac.uk\">www.graduate.study.cam.ac.uk<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Applications open between <b>October and December<\/b> for the following year<\/li>\n<li>Those accepted for admission are considered for the scholarship<\/li>\n<li>Final selection of scholars is made jointly by the CSIR and CCEIT<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What the scholarship covers<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Successful applicants will receive funding for three years, sufficient to cover:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Tuition fees<\/li>\n<li>Annual Stipend (sufficient for a single person)<\/li>\n<li>Return airfare once a year<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.csir.co.za\/international-scholarship-programme\">Click here for more information.<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The CSIR, in partnership with the Cambridge Commonwealth European and International Trust (CCEIT), offers students an opportunity to pursue PhD studies at the University of Cambridge, UK.
