{"id":36669,"date":"2017-06-19T12:03:35","date_gmt":"2017-06-19T10:03:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=36669"},"modified":"2017-06-19T12:03:35","modified_gmt":"2017-06-19T10:03:35","slug":"research-data-analyst-intern-multichoice-2017","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/research-data-analyst-intern-multichoice-2017.html","title":{"rendered":"Research and Data Analyst Intern at Multichoice 2017"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>MultiChoice is a video entertainment and internet company with a strong presence in South Africa and across the African continent.<\/p>\n<p>We have a position for\u00a0Research and Data Analyst <span id=\"IL_AD4\" class=\"IL_AD\">Internship<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p><b>OUTPUTS<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Generate, update and maintain high quality, accurate and relevant content and channel performance reports according to stipulated <span id=\"IL_AD8\" class=\"IL_AD\">specifications<\/span> and deadlines to allocated channels that include target market (profile \/ trends), content selection, scheduling <span id=\"IL_AD7\" class=\"IL_AD\">patterns<\/span> \/ trends, competitor analysis, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Distribute and archive reports relating to M-Net channels\u2019 and content performance, including competitor performance (audience ratings \u2013 channel and content, insights and <span id=\"IL_AD6\" class=\"IL_AD\">recommendations<\/span>).<\/li>\n<li>Participate in and\/or present at weekly\/<span id=\"IL_AD1\" class=\"IL_AD\">monthly<\/span> research insight meetings with specific channel stakeholders (channel heads\/marketing\/scheduling) regarding channel and content performance, including competitor performance (with strategic insight and sound recommendations).<\/li>\n<li>Assist with Market assessment and competitor analysis &#8211; reports relating to the specific channel cluster (new players, platforms, content, scheduling patterns, industry trends etc.).<\/li>\n<li>Desktop research (when required.)<\/li>\n<li>Assist in field research projects as required by business.<\/li>\n<li>Quality assurance on all data \/ reports \/ presentations (data verification).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>COMPETENCIES<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Knowledge of and passion for TV content (movies \/ series \/ documentaries).<\/li>\n<li>Excellent command of the English language (written and spoken).<\/li>\n<li>Presentation and communication skills.<\/li>\n<li>Meticulous \/ attention to detail.<\/li>\n<li>A team player.<\/li>\n<li>Assertive.<\/li>\n<li>Time management skills.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.<\/li>\n<li>Interpersonal skills.<\/li>\n<li>Good organisational and co-ordination skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>KNOWLEDGE \/ QUALIFICATIONS<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>Must have relevant 3 year degree<\/li>\n<li>Post-graduation <span id=\"IL_AD3\" class=\"IL_AD\">qualification<\/span> in research or related field would be an advantage<\/li>\n<li>Must have an exceptional knowledge of and a passion for the media industry<\/li>\n<li>Must have advanced computer skills (<span id=\"IL_AD5\" class=\"IL_AD\">MS Excel<\/span> \/ <span id=\"IL_AD2\" class=\"IL_AD\">MS Word<\/span> \/ MS Powerpoint)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-0398974026399434\" data-ad-format=\"auto\" data-ad-slot=\"5885050342\" data-adsbygoogle-status=\"done\"><\/ins><ins id=\"aswift_6_expand\"><\/ins><ins id=\"aswift_6_anchor\"><\/ins><a href=\"https:\/\/multichoice.taleo.net\/careersection\/mgroup_external_cs1\/jobdetail.ftl?job=1700424&amp;tz=GMT%2B02%3A00\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\"><b>CLICK HERE TO APPLY<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>MultiChoice is a video entertainment and internet company with a strong presence in South Africa and across the African continent.
