We are looking for a motivated, passionate and go-getting Human Capital Intern<\/b> to join our Human Capital team<\/b> at Head Office<\/b>.<\/p>\n
The successful candidate will be exposed to a fast-paced, exciting and dynamic retail environment and the internship<\/span> will cover a broad range of responsibilities, which will include, but will not be limited to the following:<\/p>\n
\n
Working closely with our Human Capital Business Partners (HCBP) to understand our Human Capital (HC) requirements<\/span><\/li>\n
Delivering timely and high quality<\/span> recruitment services through ownership of the process and direct support to Leaders to ensure the placement of ideal candidates<\/li>\n
Organizing and administering communication with candidates for available positions<\/span> in the company<\/li>\n
Managing and preparing for the onboarding and induction process of new team members<\/li>\n
Creating contracts and new starter packs for all new hires<\/li>\n
Administrating paperwork for existing permanent team members<\/li>\n
Completing HC Administration on HC system (SAGE)<\/li>\n
Liaising with the payroll team to ensure information is accurate for all team members<\/li>\n
Ensuring all team member data is up to date, including hire dates, salary<\/span> info, organizational changes, reporting lines, sickness\/absence<\/li>\n
Assisting the HC team with overall queries<\/li>\n
Liaising with HCBP\u2019s to coordinate their meetings and interviews<\/li>\n
Managing relationships with Leaders and ensuring adherence to best practices and process<\/li>\n
Providing advice and guidance to Leaders on HC policies and practices<\/li>\n
Assisting team members with any HC-related queries.<\/li>\n
Resolving basic HC challenges<\/li>\n
Managing general administration of the HC function<\/li>\n
Preparing internal communications for the HC team<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Requirements:<\/b><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Experience working in a HR role<\/li>\n
Familiarity with South Africa labour laws and procedures<\/li>\n
Ability to learn quickly and create improved efficiency<\/li>\n
Excellent follow-up skills with the ability to drive initiatives to completion<\/li>\n
Positive, professional demeanour, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work on a team<\/li>\n
Must be a self-starter with the ability to balance conflicting points of view, function effectively under pressure and demonstrate discretion, integrity and fair-mindedness<\/li>\n
Effective communication, written<\/span> and grammar skills, emphasizing attention to detail<\/li>\n
Proficiency with computer systems, programmes<\/span> and MS Office programs (must have strong MS Excel<\/span> skills)<\/li>\n
Strong proactive and logical thinking skills<\/li>\n
The agility and resilience to maintain high levels of motivation and initiative under pressure<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
