The Fairtree Capital Graduate\u00a0Programme<\/span>\u00a0is an exciting opportunity for finance and investment graduates to gain experience at our multi asset firm. This is a\u00a010 month<\/strong>\u00a0program where interns will develop a broad skills base that will kick start their career in the asset management industry.<\/p>\n

Exposure<\/strong>
\nGraduates will rotate through the various business units including Equity, Fixed Income and Commodities. Trainees will predominantly get exposure to equity research which includes long-only, hedge funds and trading.<\/p>\n

Training and development<\/strong>Trainees will participate in various training initiatives to develop their overall profile and enhance their skills and knowledge to deliver at the required levels. Training will incorporate technical and soft skills development\u00a0programmes<\/span>. Graduates will assist analysts and portfolio managers in research functions including meeting company management, basic modelling and presentations.<\/p>\n

Format<\/strong>Interns will participate in a training\u00a0programme\u00a0for a period of up to\u00a010 months<\/strong>\u00a0starting from\u00a0February 2018<\/strong>. Shorter periods or delayed starts will be considered for exceptional cases.<\/p>\n

Requirements<\/span><\/strong>
\n-Bachelor\u2019s degree in Investments or Finance
\n-South\u00a0African<\/span>\u00a0citizen
\n-Driver\u2019s license
\nMost important attributes:
\n-Proven academic ability with consistently top results during their degree
\n-General interest in business and investments
\n-A questioning nature
\n-An analytical mind
\n-Strong numeracy
\n-An eye for detail
\n-Adaptability and flexibility
\n-Ability to multi-task and work in teams
\n-Good communication skills, both in written and verbal
\n-The ability to work in a pressurised environment and complete\u00a0tasks<\/span>
\n-Decisiveness and the ability to recommend solutions
\n-MS office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)<\/p>\n

\nApplications<\/span>\u00a0for the 2018 intake close on 29\u00a0September 2017.<\/strong>\u00a0Suitable candidates will be interviewed and notified of success of their\u00a0application<\/span>\u00a0within 2 weeks.
