baseline audit work, executing the audit procedures and ensuring that all relevant audit information has been documented in preparation for drafting of the audit report<br \/>\n<strong>Roles &amp; Responsibilities<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Planning<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p class=\"auto-style4\">Gain knowledge and understanding of client business by reading the audit files of previous years, gather information from the AGSA management and also engage with appropriate staff at various levels at the auditee<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"auto-style4\">Contribute to the development of audit plans<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"auto-style4\">Compile sampling worksheet for the audit component<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li><span class=\"auto-style3\">Prepare the working papers required for the audit<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Executions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p class=\"auto-style4\">Conduct the audit in accordance with professional standards, audit legislation and quality standards<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"auto-style4\">Analyse and interpret financial statements and identify unusual features or issues<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"auto-style4\">Interpret the relationship between the elements within financial statements<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"auto-style2\">Review financial statements to ensure proper accounting of all expenditure and receipts<\/li>\n<li>Verify the financial systems to ensure the correct payment as per the accounting standards<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Reporting<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Identify points arising from audits including the formulation of sound conclusions and constructive recommendations in terms of business systems, processes and internal controls<\/li>\n<li>Assist in compilation of the management report.<\/li>\n<li>Compilation and issuing of exceptions report to the clients.<\/li>\n<li>Evaluate the client\u2019s response to the exception reports and the management letters.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Knowledge Transfers:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>On-the-job coaching of junior staff members<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Admin:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Providing input where audit manager requires input such as planning of audits under her\/his control; budget and other organizational reporting needs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Skills, Experience &amp; Education<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"auto-style2\">CTA or ITC<\/li>\n<li class=\"auto-style2\">B Compt\/ B Com Accounting\/ B Com (with auditing, Accounting and Management Accounting as majors)<\/li>\n<li class=\"auto-style2\">Be eligible to register\u00a0 for a CTA<\/li>\n<li class=\"auto-style2\">B Com with SAIGA required subjects:<\/li>\n<li>Financial Accounting (three full years)<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Auditing (two full years) \u2013 excluding internal auditing<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Management Accounting (two full years)<\/li>\n<li>Taxation (one full year)<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Computer Information Systems (one full year)<\/li>\n<li>Commercial Law (one full year)<\/li>\n<li>Statistics (one full year)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"auto-style2\"><strong>Preferred<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"auto-style2\">Preferably a Certificate in Theory of Accounting (CTA) or a B Com Honours degree<\/li>\n<li class=\"auto-style2\">Preferably have a CTA or SAICA accredited undergraduate degree and<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span id=\"HRS_SCH_PSTDSC_DESCR$3\"><strong>Closing
