{"id":36946,"date":"2017-07-17T16:50:04","date_gmt":"2017-07-17T14:50:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=36946"},"modified":"2017-07-17T16:50:04","modified_gmt":"2017-07-17T14:50:04","slug":"auc-internship-program","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/auc-internship-program.html","title":{"rendered":"AUC Internship Program"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Deciding to become an AU-YV is a life changing decision opening opportunities to serve in a community other than your own and assisting in the local development efforts.<\/p>\n<p>Your duties and responsibilities would mainly be to serve the community, organization or institution where you will be deployed.<\/p>\n<p>This will be in relation with your field of study or past experience.<\/p>\n<p><u>At present the main areas of focus for AU-YVC are:<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Education;<\/li>\n<li>Health and HIV\/ AIDS;<\/li>\n<li>Peace and Security;<\/li>\n<li>Information and Communications Technology;<\/li>\n<li>Business and Youth Entrepreneurship;<\/li>\n<li>Agriculture and Environment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u>In order to be considered for this program, you must fulfill all of the following requirements:<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You must be an African Citizen or you are of African Decent (African Diaspora with non African Citizenship)<\/li>\n<li>You are age 18 \u2013 34<\/li>\n<li>You have at least a post secondary certified training and qualifications (Bachelor equivalent) with above average performance<\/li>\n<li>Available to dedicate minimum of 12 (twelve) months to 24 (twenty-four) months for volunteer work<\/li>\n<li>Good knowledge of at least one official AU languages (Arabic, English, French, Portuguese) and willing to learn others<\/li>\n<li>Verifiable minimum of one year of volunteer and one year of work experience<\/li>\n<li>You have an up to date and chronologically complete Curriculum Vitae (please click on Sample CV for reference)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You should be both mentally and physically in a condition that allows you to travel, live and serve in a new environment.<\/p>\n<p>Also, take into consideration that there may not be health services available in the area where you will be deployed like those you are used to in your home country, especially if you have special medical conditions.<\/p>\n<p>You will also be required to acquire all the necessary travel documents and vaccination cards<br \/>\n.<br \/>\n<strong>HOW TO APPLY<\/strong><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-youth.org\/programmes\/african-union-volunteer-corps\/become-an-au-yv\/#1459509885043-974587ef-9986\" target=\"_new\"><u><strong>Click Here to Become an AU-YV!<\/strong><\/u><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.au.int\/web\/en\/welcome-auc-internship-program\" target=\"_new\"><u><strong>Click Here to Applying Online using the AUC e-Internship Program<\/strong><\/u><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Deciding to become an AU-YV is a life changing decision opening opportunities to serve in a community other than your own and assisting in the local development efforts.
