The Competition Commission requires young dynamic graduates, enthusiastic and energetic, with an aptitude for research and analysis to join the Competition Commission as Graduate Trainees.<br \/>\nThe Competition Commission is responsible for: investigating and assessing anti-competitive behaviour in response to complaints, investigating large mergers, making referral to the Competition Tribunal; and investigating and deciding on intermediate mergers. In addition, it undertakes advocacy work to promote compliance with the Competition Act.<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>Please note the programme is available on a twelve 12-18 months fixed term contract.<\/p>\n<p>Applications for the 2018 Graduate Programme close on the 30th September 2017<\/p>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Completed LLB or Honours Economics degree.<\/li>\n<li>Be a South African citizen.<\/li>\n<li>Have obtained an average of 60% pass rate.<\/li>\n<li>A consistent academic performer.<\/li>\n<li>Should not have worked as a permanent employee previously.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Competencies:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Good analytical, research and investigative skills.<\/li>\n<li>Well-developed writing skills.<\/li>\n<li>Interpersonal skills as well as computer literacy are prerequisites.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skill.<\/li>\n<li>Be a self-starter.<\/li>\n<li>The ability to work under pressure.<\/li>\n<li>An energetic, dynamic and committed individual.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>How to Apply<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/planet10.co.za\/Talentlink\/CompComExternal\/details.html?jobId=30332\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Apply Online for the Competition Commission: Graduate \/ Internship Programme 2018<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Closing Date: 30 September 2017<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Location: Pretoria Competition law and economics are fast growing areas linked to the dynamic field of competition policy in South Africa and abroad.
