The successful candidates will assist with barista duties and provide excellent customer service to the Baxter\u2019s patrons.<br \/>\n<strong>Ad-Hoc Bartenders<\/strong><br \/>\nThe rate of pay is\u00a0<b>R35.61 per hour<\/b><br \/>\n<strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A Matric certificate or an equivalent qualification (NQF4 level)<\/li>\n<li>A friendly disposition coupled with sound interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in English and at least one other official language<\/li>\n<li>The ability to work well under pressure, both as part of a team and independently<\/li>\n<li>Alertness and the ability to think quickly in an emergency<\/li>\n<li>A strong sense of customer service<\/li>\n<li>Electronic Point of Sale experience<\/li>\n<li>A year\u2019s work experience preferably in either the hospitality or the retail industry would be an advantage<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To deliver friendly, efficient customer service to patrons and staff at the Baxter Theatre Centre at all times<\/li>\n<li>Controlling and accounting for stock<\/li>\n<li>To serve beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, quickly and efficiently<\/li>\n<li>Processing orders and sales on the electronic point of sale system<\/li>\n<li>Assisting, maintaining and cleaning the bar equipment and service areas<\/li>\n<li>Adhering at all times to the Liquor Act of the Western Cape<\/li>\n<li>Reconciling day-end sales and cash transactions<\/li>\n<li>Adhering to the standard code of conduct of the Baxter Theatre Bar<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How to Apply:<\/strong><br \/>\nTo apply, please e-mail the below documents in a single pdf file to Mr Hubert Rumble at\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:hubert.rumble@uct.ac.za\">hubert.rumble@uct.ac.za<\/a>\u00a0and Alexander Petersen\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:alexander.petersen@uct.ac.za\">alexander.petersen@uct.ac.za<\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/web.uct.ac.za\/depts\/sapweb\/forms\/hr201.doc\">UCT Application Form<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Cover letter, and<\/li>\n<li>Curriculum Vitae (CV)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Please ensure the title and reference number are indicated in the subject line.<\/p>\n<p>An application which does not comply with the above requirements will be regarded as incomplete.
