{"id":37831,"date":"2017-10-11T12:20:54","date_gmt":"2017-10-11T10:20:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=37831"},"modified":"2017-10-11T12:20:54","modified_gmt":"2017-10-11T10:20:54","slug":"limpopo-dept-public-works-bursary-2018","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/limpopo-dept-public-works-bursary-2018.html","title":{"rendered":"Limpopo Dept of Public Works Bursary 2018"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Limpopo Province experiences a shortage of qualified Engineers, technicians and other needed scarce skills to establish, maintain and manage Government office building, efficiently.<\/p>\n<p><b>Eligibility for Consideration<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Candidates must be:-<\/b><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 South African students residing in Limpopo Province.<br \/>\n\u2022 Students attending to or already studying towards a degree\/diploma at a recognized South African tertiary institute and within the built environment.<br \/>\n\u2022 Able to provide proof of academic results for grade 12 or alternatively be in possession of an acceptable alternate qualification.<br \/>\n\u2022 Final year students at institutions of higher learning<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Accepted by the university\/technikon<\/p>\n<p><b>Bursaries Available\/Targeted Areas<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Quantity Surveying;<\/li>\n<li>Building Engineering \/ Science;<\/li>\n<li>Architectural Science;<\/li>\n<li>Construction Management;<\/li>\n<li>Mechanical Engineering;<\/li>\n<li>Electrical Engineering;<\/li>\n<li>Town and Regional Planning;<\/li>\n<li>Civil Engineering;<\/li>\n<li>Landscaping \/ Horticulture;<\/li>\n<li>Information Communication Technology \/ Information Science;<\/li>\n<li>Asset Management;<\/li>\n<li>Financial Management \/ Auditing \/ Risk Management;<\/li>\n<li>Property and Facility Management \/ Real Estate;<\/li>\n<li>Human Resource Management;<\/li>\n<li>Communications \/ Journalism \/ Media Studies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Selection Procedures<\/b><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 All applications must be for the next academic year.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Applicants will not be considered for a bursary if he\/she previously failed unless he\/she re-writes or repeats at his\/her own expenses.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Grade 12 with Mathematics and Science or NTC 3 (National Technical Certificates).<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Must be South African Citizen.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Applications from designated groups will be given preference.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Schedules are compiled for selection process.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Training Committee will convene a meeting for the selection of candidates.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Successful candidates will be notified in writing and advised to sign a bursary agreement with the Department before payments could be made.<\/p>\n<p><b>Payment Process<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Proof of registration with particular tertiary institution should be submitted.<\/p>\n<p>Payment is made after receiving the statement of account from the institutions.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Payments are therefore made in respect of the following items:-<\/b><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Registration<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Tuition<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Meals<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Accommodation<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Books<\/p>\n<p><b>Bursary Obligations<\/b><\/p>\n<p>After completion of studies, a student is compelled to serve the number of year\u2019s equivalent to years of sponsorship.<\/p>\n<p><b>Refund of the Bursary<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Failure to comply with the provisions of the bursary agreement will result in the Bursary having to refund immediately all amounts (plus interest) paid by the Department.<\/p>\n<p>The closing date for applications is 31 October every year.<\/p>\n<p><strong>HOW TO APPLY<\/strong><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.dpw.limpopo.gov.za\/docs\/careers\/Public%20Works%20Bursary%20Programmes.pdf\" target=\"_new\"><u><strong>Click Here to BURSARY PROGRAMME<\/strong><\/u><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.dpw.limpopo.gov.za\/docs\/careers\/APPLICATION%20FORMS%20external.pdf\" target=\"_new\"><u><strong>Click Here to Bursary APPLICATION Document<\/strong><\/u><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Limpopo Province experiences a shortage of qualified Engineers, technicians and other needed scarce skills to establish, maintain and manage Government office building, efficiently.
