Last year, 79 young people successfully completed the program.\u00a0 We invite Youth of all races and gender to apply for acceptance into the 2017\/18 intake. The training will be conducted only in specific areas within the Provinces of:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Western Cape<\/li>\n<li>Northern Cape<\/li>\n<li>Mpumalanga<\/li>\n<li>Limpopo<\/li>\n<li>North Westand as such it is important that candidates are based there.\u00a0 We only accept code 10 and 14.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Candidates must meet the following criteria to apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must be between the ages of 23 and 34<\/li>\n<li>Must have passed matric and have a Certificate<\/li>\n<li>Must have no criminal record<\/li>\n<li>Must be medically fit to drive heavy vehicles<\/li>\n<li>Must be unemployed and not studying fulltime<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>How To Apply<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Applications can be forwarded to email address\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:Driverdevelopment@raf.co.za\">Driverdevelopment@raf.co.za<\/a><\/p>\n<p>INSTRUCTION TO PROSPECTIVE APPLICANTS<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Certified ID copy and matric certificate<\/li>\n<li>Proof of residence (Municipal water and lights statement of the parents or a stamped letter from the Local Councilor or Traditional Authority )<\/li>\n<li>Strictly one page motivation stating your future goals and how obtaining a code 10\/14 driver\u2019s license and Professional Drivers Permit will assist you in building a career as a professional driver<\/li>\n<li>Strictly one page CV<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Applications without all the required documents may not be considered.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>RAF \u2013 Building a cadre of safe professional drivers<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Closing date:\u00a003 November 2017 at 16h00.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The RAF is contributing to road safety and youth employment through a program to build a cadre of young professional drivers for the\u00a0freight and public transport industry\u00a0in SA.
