{"id":38140,"date":"2017-11-09T17:24:20","date_gmt":"2017-11-09T15:24:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=38140"},"modified":"2017-11-09T17:24:20","modified_gmt":"2017-11-09T15:24:20","slug":"saps-internship-division-research-management-intervention","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/saps-internship-division-research-management-intervention.html","title":{"rendered":"SAPS Internship &#8211; Division: Research: Management Intervention"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The South African Police Service hereby invites unemployed youth who conform to the requirements for a twelve-month internship programme at Division: Research: Management Intervention.<\/p>\n<p><strong>SAPS Internship &#8211; Division: Crime Intelligence<\/strong><br \/>\nThe internship programme is part of the National Human Resource Development Strategy and the National Skills Development Strategy.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Reseach Intern (3 Posts)<\/strong><br \/>\nSection: Research &#8211; Management Intervention<\/p>\n<p><b>Location<\/b>: Head Office, Pretoria<\/p>\n<p><b>Reference<\/b>: DR\/01\/2018<\/p>\n<p><b>Requirements<\/b>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must be between ages 18 \u2013 35<\/li>\n<li>Be a South African citizen<\/li>\n<li>Must be in possession of:\n<ul>\n<li>National Diploma: Information Technology, OR<\/li>\n<li>BSc Degree: Computer Science, OR<\/li>\n<li>BSc Degree: Informatics<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Must have no criminal record(s)<\/li>\n<li>Applicants must be unemployed and never participated in an internship programme previously<\/li>\n<li>The intern must understand and be able to use both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies in research project<\/li>\n<li>Understand how to conduct a literature review and analyse literature review<\/li>\n<li>Have good communication skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Duties<\/b>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide administrative functions in the office of Research Governance and Coordination<\/li>\n<li>Manage documentation in the office of Research Governance and Coordination<\/li>\n<li>Monitor the execution of the SAPS Rsearch Agenda and rsearch proposals from internally and externally<\/li>\n<li>Monitor the implementation of the rsearch project intents<\/li>\n<li>Update the database of the research conducted by, for and about the SAPS<\/li>\n<li>Capture and update the database on the explicit policing knowledge assets<\/li>\n<li>Capture and update the database on the tacit policing knowledge assets<\/li>\n<li>Manage and control the rsearch knowledge repository<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>HOW TO APPLY<\/strong><br \/>\nOnly the official application form for the internship programme will be accepted.
