{"id":38285,"date":"2017-11-27T10:33:26","date_gmt":"2017-11-27T08:33:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=38285"},"modified":"2017-11-27T10:33:26","modified_gmt":"2017-11-27T08:33:26","slug":"wood-group-graduate-internship-programme-2018","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/wood-group-graduate-internship-programme-2018.html","title":{"rendered":"Wood Group: Graduate \/ Internship Programme 2018"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Location: Cape Town<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In this position, you will work with engineers on development and infrastructure projects that require teamwork and problem-solving capabilities.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Purpose<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To perform and coordinate engineering assignments designed to develop professional working knowledge, requiring the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria necessary to fulfil the experience requirement for licensure as a professional engineer; perform related work.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide design assistance to the engineers for a variety of engineering projects.<\/li>\n<li>Perform calculations.<\/li>\n<li>Perform research on selected topics.<\/li>\n<li>Write technical reports and letters.<\/li>\n<li>Review construction sites and file inspection reports.<\/li>\n<li>Communicate with all parties involved in the project always in a timely manner.<\/li>\n<li>Assist the professional engineers in tasks as requested and be responsive and attentive to client\u2019s needs.<\/li>\n<li>Perform engineering and project tasks relating to site implementation requirements<\/li>\n<li>Manage and assist with documentation<\/li>\n<li>Participate in HSEQ<\/li>\n<li>Assist and work with Project manager<\/li>\n<li>Participate in all aspects of project life cycle.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>BSc \/ BEng or BTech\u00a0in Mechanical \/ Electrical \/ Mechatronics Engineering<\/li>\n<li>Passed Fundamentals of Engineering Exam<\/li>\n<li>A sound knowledge of AutoCAD or Solidworks<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Hard work ethic, works well in a team environment<\/li>\n<li>Excellent problem solving skills<\/li>\n<li>Ambitious<\/li>\n<li>Good communication skills both oral a written<\/li>\n<li>Willing to learn through participation and work.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How To Apply<\/strong><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/amecfw-row-external.icims.com\/jobs\/21812\/graduate-engineer-in-training\/job?hub=15\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Apply Online for the Wood Graduate \/ Internship Programme<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Location: Cape Town In this position, you will work with engineers on development and infrastructure projects that require teamwork and problem-solving capabilities.
