The shared vision for the Cape Winelands District Municipality is \u201ca Unified Cape Winelands of excellence for sustainable development\u201d. Central to this vision, the CWDM acknowledges that youth development is integral to the social, political and economic life of every young person in the District and society in general.<\/p>\n<p>The Mayoral Bursary Fund seeks to ensure that human resource development, with specific emphasis to the youth of the District, must address the development of human capabilities and knowledge to meet the people\u2019s ever growing need for goods and services and to improve their standard of living. It is against this background and the CWDM\u2019s commitment to a better life for all, that the CWDM invites well deserving students who permanently reside within the area of jurisdiction of the Cape Winelands District Municipality, to apply for participation in the CWDM Mayoral Bursary Fund.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Bursary applications will only be considered for National Certificates, National Diplomas and degrees in the following areas<\/em>: \u2022 Medicine \u2022 Engineering Studies \u2022 Accounting \u2022 Auditing \u2022 Risk- and\/or Performance Management \u2022 Education \u2022 Law \u2022 Environmental studies \u2022 Urban and Regional Planning \u2022 Social- and\/or Community Studies \u2022 Information and Communication Technology \u2022 Artisans (all trades).<\/p>\n<p><em>Please Note:<\/em>\u00a0\u2022 Bursaries are awarded on an annual basis and are valid for only one academic year \u2022 Current recipients of the CWDM Mayoral Bursary Fund must reapply since there will be no automatic qualification for current Mayoral Bursary Fund holders \u2022 Application forms must be completed in the applicant\u2019s own handwriting, hand-delivered or posted and must reach the CWDM before or on the specified due date and time.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How To Apply<\/strong><br \/>\nThe completed\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.capewinelands.gov.za\/DocumentsDownload\/MB%20Fund\/Mayoral%20Bursary%20Application%20Form%20for%202017-2018%20Final%20Draft.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">application form<\/a>, accompanied by originalcertified true copies of students\u2019 academic records and Identity Documents, proof of permanent residential address and proof of annual household income, must be submitted to the Acting Municipal Manager, Cape Winelands District Municipality, P.O. Box 91, Worcester, 6849 (For attention: Mr. L.J. Farmer).<\/p>\n<p>Please note that applications that do not adhere to the above-mentioned prescriptions will not be considered, neither will late, faxed and\/or applications received via e-mail be considered \u2022 Successful applicants will be obliged to sign a Study Agreement with the Cape Winelands District Municipality \u2022 Incomplete applications will not be considered.
