Candidates that show an innovative business potential that can prove they need financial support will be considered for these bursaries.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bursaries Available:<\/strong><br \/>\nStudents who intend studying in the following fields should apply:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Listed Investments (JSE Listed Companies)<\/li>\n<li>Unlisted Investments (Impact Investing, Private Equity, Structured Investments Products and Asset Management (Properties))<\/li>\n<li>Information Technology<\/li>\n<li>Research and Projects Development (Fund of Funds)<\/li>\n<li>Legal<\/li>\n<li>Finance (Corporate and Investment Finance)<\/li>\n<li>Human Resources<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Vacation Work:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Vacation work and Internship \/ Learnership programmes are available for bursary holders and unemployed youth during June \/ July or December \/ January periods.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Application Criteria:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be a South African citizen<\/li>\n<li>Preference will be given to applicants in Grade 12 or already registered at an accredited Institute of Higher Learning in South Africa, at under-graduate level (NQF 6 and 7)<\/li>\n<li>Preference will be given to applicants under the age of 35 years<\/li>\n<li>Be in financial need (Household income must be less than R600 000 per annum )<\/li>\n<li>Academic achievement will be considered<\/li>\n<li>Be a full time student and an unemployed youth<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Bursary Application Instructions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>All compulsory fields (<a>*<\/a>) must be completed<\/li>\n<li>All supporting documents must be certified (certified copies must not be older than 3 months at submission date)<\/li>\n<li>The application form must be signed by the applicant and Parent\/Guardian in the case of minors<\/li>\n<li>Incomplete application forms and\/or falsified, uncertified, invalid documentation will not be considered<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Supporting Documents Checklist:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Completed application form<\/li>\n<li>A copy of a valid RSA identity document<\/li>\n<li>Proof of disability (medical certificate)<\/li>\n<li>Proof of monthly household income and dependants<\/li>\n<li>Academic transcripts (if currently enrolled at an accredited tertiary institution)<\/li>\n<li>Matric Certificate (or Grade 11 and June results if currently in Grade 12)<\/li>\n<li>Copy of signed student loan agreement (if applicable)<\/li>\n<li>Preliminary acceptance letter(s) from an accredited tertiary institution<\/li>\n<li>Tax\/ Pro-forma invoice indicating fees payable (tuition, books, learning institution accredited accommodation and meals)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Bursary Terms:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The bursary is awarded for the full academic period at a single academic institution<\/li>\n<li>The bursary amount awarded will be at the sole discretion of the PIC Bursary Committee as determined by the approved threshold<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Online-\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.pic.gov.za\/index.php\/bursaries-for-undergraduates\/\">Apply Online for the PIC Bursary \/ Scholarship Programme<\/a><\/li>\n<li>For manual applications Email-\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:Bursaries@pic.gov.za\">Bursaries@pic.gov.za<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.pic.gov.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/2018-PIC-Bursary-Application-Form.pdf\">Download the Application Form here<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Post-The Bursary Office, Private Bag X187, Pretoria, 0001<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>When will feedback be given:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Feedback will only be sent to successful applicants at the end of February 2018.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All enquiries:\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:bursaries@pic.gov.za\">Bursaries@pic.gov.za<\/a><br \/>\n<strong>Closing Date: 08 December 2017<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The PIC has a bursary programme that identifies previously disadvantaged learners from designated groups with academic potential who want to study.
