The Premier’s Advancement of Youth (PAY)\u00a0programme\u00a0will provide 700\u00a0matriculants from the class of 2017\u00a0with work and training from\u00a01 April 2018\u00a0until March 2019.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
The Premiers Advancement of Youth (PAY) project will provide matriculants from the class of 2017 with work experience and training in one of the 13 Western Cape Government Departments beginning 1 April 2018 until 31 March 2019.<\/p>\n
During this time you will receive a monthly stipend to cover your expenses.<\/p>\n
Minimum Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n You have written the National Senior Certificate (NSC) in 2017, and only applicants who passed the final examinations will be considered;<\/p>\n You are not going to study further in 2018;<\/p>\n You are a South African citizen, residing in the Western Cape Province;<\/p>\n You are between the ages of 18 and 24;<\/p>\n You are not sure of the next step after school.<\/p>\n Recommendation<\/strong><\/p>\n You have no network or support to help you make career choices;<\/p>\n You are financially constrained.<\/p>\n Key Performance Areas<\/strong><\/p>\n On-the-job training will be provided in the following departments:<\/u><\/p>\n Department of the Premier;<\/p>\n Department of Agriculture;<\/p>\n Department of Community Safety;<\/p>\n Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport;<\/p>\n Department of Economic Development and Tourism;<\/p>\n Department of Environmental Affairs & Development Planning;<\/p>\n Department of Health;<\/p>\n Department of Human Settlements;<\/p>\n Department of Local Government;<\/p>\n Department of Social Development;<\/p>\n Department of Transport and Public Works;<\/p>\n Provincial Treasury;<\/p>\n Western Cape Education Department (WCED)<\/p>\n HOW TO APPLY<\/strong> Only attach your CV (preferably in MS Word).<\/p>\n Other documentation like your ID can also be attached with your CV.<\/p>\n Only applicants who passed the final examinations will be considered.<\/p>\n The final results will be verified with the Western Cape Education Department.<\/p>\n Also, other personal information and documentation will be verified in terms of legislation.<\/p>\n Application tips:<\/p>\n <\/p>\n 1.
