Amec&#8217;s research includes relations between Africa and the Middle East.<\/p>\n<p>AMEC engages in\u00a0<span id=\"IL_AD3\" class=\"IL_AD\">funded<\/span>\u00a0research on the contemporary Middle East, and accepts research commissions from government, business, academia, non-governmental organisations, and community-based organisations.<\/p>\n<p>The Afro-Middle East Centre (AMEC) is a research institute established in 1998 to conduct research mainly on the Middle East and North Africa region.
