\nTo rotate within the claims function and gaining an understanding of the company\u2019s claims philosophy.<\/p>\n
Upon completion of the programme the graduate would have acquired the following skills:<\/p>\n
1. Claims processes<\/b>
\n\uf0b7 Reviewing terms and conditions of products on an ongoing basis
\n\uf0b7 Accurately record and examine received claims and any related documentation thereof
\n\uf0b7 Perform document diary maintenance on IMS system
\n\uf0b7 Capture claims received by the department on register for reserve and keep a regular followup
\nan outstanding reserve once claims are verified by Claims Manager
\n\uf0b7 Approve claims within delegated authority after verification of all documents and validation
\nthereof under the policy cover
\n\uf0b7 Assist in the extrapolation of monthly reports on claims<\/p>\n
2. Agency\/ Broker Liaison<\/b>
\n\uf0b7 Inform reinsurance brokers and underwriting department of omitted documents as well as
\nadjustors such as losses\/ gains on premium
\n\uf0b7 Exercises proper judgment and decision making to analyze the claims exposure, to determine
\nthe proper course of action and to appropriately settle the claim
\n\uf0b7 Negotiate the settlement and disposition of complex claims; interpret related claims
\ndocumentation<\/p>\n
