{"id":38986,"date":"2018-01-26T16:02:10","date_gmt":"2018-01-26T14:02:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=38986"},"modified":"2018-01-26T16:02:10","modified_gmt":"2018-01-26T14:02:10","slug":"community-manager-internship-mirum-2018","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/community-manager-internship-mirum-2018.html","title":{"rendered":"Community Manager Internship at Mirum 2018"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Mirum is looking for a Community Manager Intern with a strong understanding of social media and how it fits into the bigger digital picture, to manage various online social communities on behalf of some enviable clients!<\/p>\n<p>The ideal candidate would be happy multi-tasking, is pro-active, self-motivated,\u00a0<span id=\"IL_AD7\" class=\"IL_AD\">entrepreneurial<\/span>, a problem-solver, wants to make an impact and can competently engage with our clients\u2019 audiences on various social media platforms.<\/p>\n<p>They should not be afraid to get their hands dirty and grow with a growing team.<br \/>\n<b><br \/>\nDuties and Responsibilities<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Driving engagement and conversations with the community and ultimately establishing brand loyalty.<\/li>\n<li>Responding to and addressing the community\u2019s queries and complaints efficiently, professionally, and timeously, as well as according to each brand\u2019s strategy and tone.<\/li>\n<li>Liaising closely with brands\u2019 customer service teams to successfully manage complaints and queries.<\/li>\n<li>Liaising with client and or client service to address key queries around online communities.<\/li>\n<li>Identifying tactical and relevant opportunities to engage with the community.<\/li>\n<li>Publishing social media competitions, collating entries, and managing the winner selection process.<\/li>\n<li>Live posting from events.<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring content is posted timeously on social media platforms.<\/li>\n<li>Keeping up-to-date with the latest trends within the digital and social media landscape.<\/li>\n<li>Compiling weekly \/ monthly social media platform reports and campaign reports.<\/li>\n<li>Working weekends as and when needed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Experience &amp; Skills<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Time management and multitasking skills \u2013 ability to prioritize and track time.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge and understanding of and proficiency in Social Media platforms (<span id=\"IL_AD6\" class=\"IL_AD\">Facebook<\/span>, Twitter, Google+, YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn and Pinterest), as well as emerging platforms etc. and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios.<\/li>\n<li>Good technical understanding and can pick up new tools quickly.<\/li>\n<li>Professional demeanor internally and externally when dealing with clients.<\/li>\n<li>Effective communication skills coupled with good presentation skills.<\/li>\n<li>Maintains excellent writing and language skills.<\/li>\n<li>Meticulous attention to detail.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Software &amp;\u00a0<span id=\"IL_AD3\" class=\"IL_AD\">Qualifications<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Relevant\u00a0<span id=\"IL_AD5\" class=\"IL_AD\">Undergraduate<\/span>\u00a0degree (Marketing, Communications, English, Media Studies).<\/li>\n<li>MS Office and Google Docs.<\/li>\n<li>Previous experience as a Community Manager in either a company or agency beneficial.<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in at least one\u00a0<span id=\"IL_AD1\" class=\"IL_AD\">South African<\/span>\u00a0language other than English and Afrikaans is an advantage.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in ORM and Social Media tools such as Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Sprinklr is an advantage.<\/li>\n<li>An understanding of social media platform\u00a0<span id=\"IL_AD2\" class=\"IL_AD\">guidelines<\/span>, policies, and best practices.<\/li>\n<li>An understanding of copyright infringement and consumer privacy on digital platforms.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>Location:\u00a0Cape Town<\/div>\n<p>If this sounds like you, great!
