{"id":38994,"date":"2018-01-29T11:08:11","date_gmt":"2018-01-29T09:08:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=38994"},"modified":"2018-01-29T11:08:11","modified_gmt":"2018-01-29T09:08:11","slug":"msc-bursary-plant-breeding-sugarcane-research-south-african-sugar-association","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/msc-bursary-plant-breeding-sugarcane-research-south-african-sugar-association.html","title":{"rendered":"MSC Bursary In Plant Breeding Sugarcane Research At South African Sugar Association"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"introtext\">\n<p>To promote innovation in South African sugarcane agriculture, the South African Sugarcane Research Institute (SASRI) hosts a dynamic post-graduate programme on the SASRI campus in Mount Edgecombe, KwaZulu-Natal.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>The research is conducted under the supervision of SASRI scientists who are affiliated with several leading South African universities, including the University of KwaZulu-Natal, University of Pretoria, and the University of the Free State and Stellenbosch University.<\/p>\n<p><u><strong>The ideal candidate must have:<\/strong><\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>BSc or BSc Hons in Plant Breeding, Genetics, Crop Science, Horticulture and Agronomy with a minor in Statistics.<\/li>\n<li>Strong academic background in the fields of genetics, plant breeding, quantitative genetics, and statistics.<\/li>\n<li>Good knowledge and understanding of statistical data analysis using statistical software and experimental design are essential.
