{"id":39405,"date":"2018-03-06T10:39:42","date_gmt":"2018-03-06T08:39:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=39405"},"modified":"2018-03-06T10:39:42","modified_gmt":"2018-03-06T08:39:42","slug":"afrikaburn-arts-development-internship","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/afrikaburn-arts-development-internship.html","title":{"rendered":"AfrikaBurn Arts Development Internship"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"introtext\">\n<p>We are pleased to announce a new internship position has been created to help forge ahead with these endeavors at HQ.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>As a year-round participant-driven social movement, AfrikaBurn seeks to activate communities through creative projects and programmes that create new opportunities.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Purpose<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To support the Creative Development and Outreach portfolios to actualize and monitor the impact of creative and community activities and projects.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>General administrative and clerical support including preparation of documents, data capture, diary management and minute taking.<\/li>\n<li>Beneficiary, participant and partner liaison<\/li>\n<li>Financial record keeping and preparation for reporting<\/li>\n<li>Data collection, analysis and preparation for reporting<\/li>\n<li>Event and logistics coordination.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements Minimum<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Matric Written and verbal skills in English and Afrikaans<\/li>\n<li>Computer literacy specifically MS Word, Excel and Power Point \u2013 test may be given<\/li>\n<li>Qualities &#8211; detail oriented, multi-tasker, team player, able to work unsupervised and meet deadlines.<\/li>\n<li>Willingness for occasional travel\/weekend\/after-hours work.<\/li>\n<li>Available for AfrikaBurn \u201cWorking Title\u201d 23-29 April Interest in arts and community development<\/li>\n<li>Previous NGO experience desirable.<\/li>\n<li>AfrikaBurn is committed to Employment Equity and encourages talented individuals from designated groups, including those with disabilities, to apply.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Process To apply, please submit a CV including contactable references and one page letter of motivation to:\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:jobs@afrikaburn.com\">jobs@afrikaburn.com<\/a>\u00a0with a subject heading \u201cArts Development Internship\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Closing date: Thursday 8 March.<\/p>\n<p>Shortlisted candidates will be contacted to attend an interview on Wednesday 14 March.<\/p>\n<p>Anticipated start date: Monday 19 March 2018 or soon thereafter.<\/p>\n<p>Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted, should you not hear from AfrikaBurn within two weeks of the closing date, kindly accept your application was unsuccessful.<\/p>\n<p>AfrikaBurn &#8211; Arts Development Internship 9-month fixed term, part time internship. 28 hours per week\/ R4000 per month.
