The Global Citizenship Programme is pleased to announce that we are looking for four suitably qualified graduates to join our team this year as paid interns.<\/p>\n
As per the attached advertisement, it is an 8 month, 60 hours per month internship and we seek particularly to attract Black South Africans.<\/p>\n
Requirements include:<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 A minimum of an undergraduate degree The following would be advantageous:<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 Familiarity with the GC programme VISIT:\u00a0\u00a0Global Citizenship Programme<\/a><\/p>\n
\n\u2022 An interest in teaching and learning
\n\u2022 An understanding of the importance of social justice and transformation in HE
\n\u2022 Evidence of curiosity, enthusiasm and an openness to learning
\n\u2022 Excellent communication skills
\n\u2022 Being a good team player
\n\u2022 Proactivity and the ability to use one\u2019s initiative
\n\u2022 Being flexible with hours when necessary
\n\u2022 Good knowledge of computer skills including Word, PowerPoint, internet searches etc.<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Have completed either of our short courses GC1, GC2 or the Social infrastructures course.
\n\u2022 Knowledge of the UCT context
\n\u2022 Interested in a career in academia
\n\u2022 Networking skills
\n\u2022 Experience of tutoring and working with diverse students
\n\u2022 Experience with Excel<\/p>\n
