The aim is to provide students with an opportunity to gain experience and to grow, develop skills and nurture their ability to gain a competitive advantage in an asset management environment.<\/p>\n<p>We are looking for graduates\/internships, who are self-motivated, achievement-driven and flexible; students who are able to think on their feet in a fast-changing world, have great team-working skills and are passionate about what they do. An excellent track record and the desire to build a fruitful career in the asset management industry is another quality PIC seeks.<\/p>\n<p>PIC hopes to bring some new PICeeds into the family and successfully nurture them for 2018.<\/p>\n<p>PIC offers a competitively valued three year CA Training Programme (registered with SAICA), a two-year Graduate Programme (specializing in Investment Management) and a two-year Internship Programme (specializing in Operational areas).<\/p>\n<p><b>Programmes offer to our Seedling:<\/b><br \/>\nThe CA Training Programme:<\/p>\n<p>The CA(SA) qualification is generally accepted as the top professional accountancy designation. The reputation of the CA(SA) retains its credibility even beyond the borders of South Africa.<\/p>\n<p>The PIC is registered with SAICA as a training officer and offers local, prospective chartered accountants the opportunity to complete their articles and obtain advanced experience in financial management within an asset management environment.<\/p>\n<p>The programme offers students both the advanced experience required by the SAICA as well as the opportunity to become industry specialists.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p><b>The Graduate Programme:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Graduate Programme is a training programme developed by the PIC that focuses specifically on the development of investment professionals. Trainees will be offered the opportunity to enroll in any of the following specialized programmes:<\/li>\n<li>Listed Instruments (Equities and Capital Markets)<\/li>\n<li>Properties and Risk (Financial and Operational)<\/li>\n<li>Unlisted Instruments (Investments, Work-out Monitoring and Financial Risk)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>The Internship Programme:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The Internship Programme gives individuals with no work experience the opportunity to gain valuable experience in a corporate environment, specifically in the asset management industry.<\/p>\n<p><b>The Internship Programme provides applicants with on-the-job experience in the following areas:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>Finance<\/li>\n<li>Human Resources<\/li>\n<li>Information Management<\/li>\n<li>Investment Administration<\/li>\n<li>Work-Out and Monitoring<\/li>\n<li>Internal Audit<\/li>\n<li>Economics<\/li>\n<li>Operational Risk<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pic.gov.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/PICeed-Application-Form-2017-1.docx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">PICeeds Application Form<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Anyone wishing to find out more about the PICeeds programme is welcome to contact us on\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:GraduateApplications@pic.gov.za\"><b>GraduateApplications@pic.gov.za<\/b><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Applications closing date: 30 March 2018.
