{"id":39557,"date":"2018-03-16T14:10:01","date_gmt":"2018-03-16T12:10:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=39557"},"modified":"2018-03-16T14:10:01","modified_gmt":"2018-03-16T12:10:01","slug":"national-disaster-management-centre-ndmc-bursary-opportunity","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/national-disaster-management-centre-ndmc-bursary-opportunity.html","title":{"rendered":"National Disaster Management Centre (NDMC) Bursary Opportunity"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The National Disaster Management Centre (NDMC) hereby invites applications from suitably qualified persons for the external bursary programme for the 2018 academic year.<\/p>\n<p>The NDMC bursary seeks to fund selected students enrolled for qualifications in Disaster Risk Science and\/or Disaster Management at a public institution in South Africa.<\/p>\n<p>The bursary Application\u00a0closing date is\u00a030 March 2018<\/p>\n<p>Bursary Provider:\u00a0National Disaster Management Centre (NDMC)<\/p>\n<p>Bursary Location:\u00a0South Africa<\/p>\n<p>Applicants must have registered at a South African public institution of higher learning of their choice by the time the bursary is awarded; and Students who are financially needy and are South African citizens.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><u>\u00a0Applicants should submit the following documents with the application forms:<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0Brief Curriculum Vitae<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Motivation letter.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0Allowances:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><u>\u00a0The bursary programme will cover the following:<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0Tuition<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Book allowance<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Research allowance<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Meals and Accommodation costs, depending on availability of funds.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A National Senior Certificate, having passed all subjects with 60% and above (Students already at an institution of higher learning should have obtained an average of 60% and above in all major subjects and must attach the 2017 academic year results).<\/p>\n<p>Proof of enrolment or acceptance from a recognized institution of higher learning.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Certified copy of a valid South African Identity document.<\/li>\n<li>Proof of residence.<\/li>\n<li>Proof of income for parents\/guardians in the cases where the student does not have one or both parents.
