The internship will run over a three-week period from Monday 25th June to Friday 13th July 2018.<\/p>\n<p>Successful applicants will get a chance to:<\/p>\n<p>Do real work. No fetching coffee or running errands. We treat our interns like employees during the programme.<\/p>\n<p>Meet leaders within the company and, in some cases, report to them on business processes.<\/p>\n<p>Experience the Allan Gray culture and get a taste of the corporate environment.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Main Responsibilities<\/strong><br \/>\nDepending on your skills and qualifications, you may be placed in any of the following business areas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Product Development:<\/strong>\u00a0Work on a project in our retail business, dealing with products like unit trusts and tax-free investments.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Retail Client Services:<\/strong>\u00a0Ensure clients and advisers receive excellent service through their investment experience.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Retail Operations:\u00a0<\/strong>Process and authorise transactions from clients.<\/li>\n<li><strong>IT:\u00a0<\/strong>Support, maintain and enhance IT applications and environments in the business.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><br \/>\nWe are looking for students who are completing a Bachelor\u2019s Degree and have a cumulative GPA of 65% and above.<\/p>\n<p>Specializations may include, but are not limited to:<em>\u00a0Commerce, Business Science, Actuarial Science, Engineering, Mathematics or Statistics<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Foreign national students with a valid permit which allows them to work a 40 hour week, for 3 consecutive weeks, are welcome to apply.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Skills \/ Competencies and experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Proven leadership potential and problem solving abilities.<\/p>\n<div>Preference will be given to final-year students, with some consideration to penultimate-year students as well.<\/div>\n<p><strong>Motivation<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Screening questions<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>(Attach your answers in PDF format)<\/p>\n<p>Write a 150 to 200-word motivation on why you believe you should be selected for the internship.<br \/>\n<strong>How To Apply<\/strong><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/careers.allangray.co.za\/pages\/vacancy-details.aspx?authorize=KnkjMhIaQAaXavIDLVfwQfTE8FvAOCsXNXnTp3v2%2fZM%2f4wVIkK5zAqMPgbtXl653\">Apply Online for the Allan Gray Graduate \/ Internship Programme<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Closing Date: 30 April 2018<br \/>\nLocation: Cape Town<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Allan Gray internship offers you a chance to get real business experience with a top asset manager.
