Beer, the original social network, has been bringing people together for thousands of<br \/>\n<strong>Key Purpose Statement<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To complete a 12 months work experience contract that will include: loading, unloading and stacking materials safely and<br \/>\nefficiently while maintaining our governance and customer service standards.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Tertiary Qualification in Logistics \/ Supply or Commercial<\/li>\n<li>No working experience required<\/li>\n<li>Forklift Licence will be an added advantage<\/li>\n<li>Unemployed<\/li>\n<li>SAP literacy advantageous<\/li>\n<li>Computer literate<\/li>\n<li>Lives the values of the organization<\/li>\n<li>Good numerical ability<\/li>\n<li>Learn and grasp concepts fast<\/li>\n<li>Work under pressure<\/li>\n<li>Adapt to change effectively<\/li>\n<li>Work with numbers<\/li>\n<li>Work on MS Office<\/li>\n<li>Work effectively within a team<\/li>\n<li>Verbal and communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Self-management principles<\/li>\n<li>Interpersonal skills<\/li>\n<li>Relationship building<\/li>\n<li>Teamwork<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Duties<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Effective Fleet management<\/li>\n<li>Conduct pre-trip inspections prior to the start of each shift using the forklift inspection checklist<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that the forklift is operated and maintained in optimal condition<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that fuel and fluids are at accepted operating levels<\/li>\n<li>Adherence to the health,\u00a0safety and environmental standards<\/li>\n<li>Department of Labour stacking exemptions complied with<\/li>\n<li>Site housekeeping standards maintained and adhered to<\/li>\n<li>Appropriate personal protective equipment used as designated by site safety standards<\/li>\n<li>Effective stock quality management<\/li>\n<li>Warehouse stock age standards maintained by ensuring stock rotation principles applied<\/li>\n<li>Ensures quality control through checking the packaging on the warehouse floor and prior to loading<\/li>\n<li>Effective inventory management<\/li>\n<li>Participation in handover process before and after every shift<\/li>\n<li>Accurate daily stock count performed using the handheld device<\/li>\n<li>Generate variance report in SAP and resolve discrepancies<\/li>\n<li>Maintain clear and effective communication with Inventory Manager, Controller, and Supervisor<\/li>\n<li>Accurate checking, loading, and unloading of vehicles<\/li>\n<li>Load Summary used to load correct quantities of split and full pallets<\/li>\n<li>Shipment status updated in SAP<\/li>\n<li>Accurate recording of returns on the handheld device prior to unloading<\/li>\n<li>Efficient loading and unloading of vehicles<\/li>\n<li>Maintain clear and effective communication with Logistics Co-ordinator\/ team members<\/li>\n<li>All documentation accurately and comprehensively completed<\/li>\n<li>Ensure production continuity (where applicable)<\/li>\n<li>Load empties and raw materials onto production lines whilst ensuring optimal productivity<\/li>\n<li>Remove and stack finished product from line to bin whilst ensuring optimal line productivity<\/li>\n<li>Conversant with relevant business information, policies, processes and procedures<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How To Apply<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Closing date:<\/strong>\u00a0Not specified<\/p>\n<p>The position of Operations Learner is available in 2 separate locations.
