The Intern assists S.W.C with public relations and marketing, helping to expand client\u2019s profits and increase visibility.<br \/>\nReport to: Public Relations\/Marketing Manager.<\/p>\n<p>Sizakala Wellness Counsellors (S.W.C) is a nonprofit organization run by qualified mental health practitioners. We aim to provide psychological well-being and emancipate individuals within their respective communities.<\/p>\n<p>We focus on the psychological development and empowerment of youths, specifically those in disadvantaged communities.<\/p>\n<p><b>Responsibilities:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Public Relations<\/li>\n<li>Assist with developing, writing and distributing approved press releases<\/li>\n<li>Assist with media relations, including pitching, researching and scheduling interviews if needed<\/li>\n<li>Assist with organization of executive photos, photo opportunities, and events<\/li>\n<li>Assist with building and maintaining relationships with both local and national media<\/li>\n<li>Assist with building and maintaining press kits<\/li>\n<li>Assist with posting logos and organizational summaries to industry services related websites and publications<\/li>\n<li>Assist with finding and completing appropriate contest entries<\/li>\n<li>Assist with following-up with members of the media to track and ensure client placement<\/li>\n<li>Assist with proofing written materials for style, grammar, etc<\/li>\n<li>Assist with planning and executing special events, if needed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Marketing:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist with monitoring the impact of marketing plans, including revenues, and making adjustments accordingly<\/li>\n<li>Assist with writing advertising copy for clients<\/li>\n<li>Assist with developing, maintaining and using marketing database, which includes client and prospect information, mailing lists<\/li>\n<li>Access to client publications, etc<\/li>\n<li>Assist with electronic and social media marketing efforts for S.W.C<\/li>\n<li>Assist with direct mail and marketing efforts for S.W.C<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Requirements:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to work with others<\/li>\n<li>Ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously<\/li>\n<li>Ability to assist clients from concept to production<\/li>\n<li>Adherence to deadlines and budget<\/li>\n<li>Willingness to contribute to the overall operation of the design<\/li>\n<li>Ability to generate, share and follow through on creative ideas<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Location:\u00a0Johannesburg<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To apply, submit a CV, cover letter, and references to\u00a0<b><a href=\"mailto:info@wellnesscounsellors.co.za\">info@wellnesscounsellors.co.za<\/a>.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>If you do not receive a response within two weeks, please consider your application unsuccessful.<\/p>\n<p>For more about, Sizakala Wellness Counsellors refer to<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SWC seeks to appoint a Public Relations\/Marketing Intern Volunteer to be based in Johannesburg.
