{"id":40032,"date":"2018-05-08T10:44:26","date_gmt":"2018-05-08T08:44:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=40032"},"modified":"2018-05-08T11:40:43","modified_gmt":"2018-05-08T09:40:43","slug":"department-health-current-vacancies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/department-health-current-vacancies.html","title":{"rendered":"Department Of Health Current Vacancies"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"introtext\">\n<p>Western Cape Department of Health seeks to employ qualifying candidates in\u00a0various departments.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>ARTISAN PRODUCTION GRADE A TO C (PLUMBING)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Chief Directorate: General Specialist and Emergency Services<\/p>\n<p>SALARY : Grade A: R167 778 per annum Grade B: R197 631 per annum Grade C: R230 721 per annum<\/p>\n<p>CENTRE : New Somerset Hospital<\/p>\n<p><strong>REQUIREMENTS :<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum educational qualification: Appropriate Trade Test Certificate in Plumbing.<\/li>\n<li>Experience: Grade A: No experience required.<\/li>\n<li>Grade B: At least 18 years appropriate\/ recognizable experience in the area after obtaining the relevant Trade Test Certificate.<\/li>\n<li>Grade C: At least 34 years appropriate\/ recognizable experience in the area after obtaining the relevant Trade Test Certificate.<\/li>\n<li>Inherent requirements of the job: Valid (Code B\/EB) driver\u2019s license.<\/li>\n<li>Perform standby duties.<\/li>\n<li>Competencies (knowledge\/skills): Conversant with the requirements of the Machinery and Occupational Health and Safety Act.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>ADMINISTRATION CLERK: SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>West Coast District<\/p>\n<p>SALARY: R152 862 per annum<\/p>\n<p>CENTRE: Vredendal Hospital<\/p>\n<p><strong>REQUIREMENTS :<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum educational qualification: Senior Certificate (or equivalent) with Mathematics and\/or Accountancy as a passed subject and\/or Senior Certificate (or equivalent) with experience\/competencies that focus on the Key Performance Areas (KRA\u2019s) of the post.<\/li>\n<li>Experience: Appropriate experience in LOGIS and the Integrated Procurement Solution IPS\/Trade world.<\/li>\n<li>Appropriate experience in Supply Chain Management.<\/li>\n<li>An inherent requirement of the job: Valid (Code B\/EB) driver\u2019s license.<\/li>\n<li>Competencies (knowledge\/skills): Applied knowledge of the Accounting Officer\u2019s System and SCM Delegations of the Department.<\/li>\n<li>Applied knowledge of Western Cape Supplier Database.<\/li>\n<li>Computer literacy (Windows\/Word\/Excel and Outlook).<\/li>\n<li>Good written and verbal communication skills in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>SEAMSTRESS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>SALARY: R107 886 per annum<\/p>\n<p>Center: Tygerberg Hospital, Parow Valley<\/p>\n<p><strong>REQUIREMENTS :<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum requirement: Basic reading, writing and numerical skills (the equivalent of grade 10).<\/li>\n<li>Certificate and\/ or relevant training, e.g. pattern making, sewing, dressmaking, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Experience: Appropriate experience in pattern making, garment construction and alterations using both industrial and domestic sewing and overlocking machines.<\/li>\n<li>Extensive experience in designing, sewing of variously specialized garments, assistive devices, wheelchair accessories and other required items.<\/li>\n<li>The inherent requirement of the job: Willingness to work with patients under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist and Occupational Therapy Technician.<\/li>\n<li>Competencies (knowledge\/skills): Advance sewing skills.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to take measurements and do calculations to construct garment patterns.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of and operating different sewing machines (sewing and over-locker machines), both industrial and basic; manage trouble-shooting and do basic maintenance of machines.<\/li>\n<li>Pattern and garment making; ability to fabricate or construct assistive devices with the guidance of the Occupational Therapist.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain good quality control and standards of garments or items produced.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to function within a team, maintain good interpersonal skills and work under pressure.<\/li>\n<li>Creativity and ability to use initiative.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to communicate fluently in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>GENERAL WORKER (ENVIRONMENTAL AND MEDICAL WASTE)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>SALARY: R83 766 per annum<\/p>\n<p>Center: Tygerberg Hospital, Parow Valley<\/p>\n<p><strong>REQUIREMENTS :<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum requirement: Basic numeracy and literacy. I<\/li>\n<li>inherent requirements of the job: Willingness to work weekends and public holidays.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to handle heavy 62 objects\/boxes.<\/li>\n<li>Competencies (knowledge\/skills): Ability to communicate (verbal and written) in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work under pressure and irregular hours as required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>NOTE:\u00a0<\/strong>It will be expected of candidates to be available for selection interviews on a date, time and place as determined by the Department.
