They, therefore, invite candidates studying towards a university degree in BEng \/ BSc Civil Engineering to apply for bursaries.<\/p>\n<p>Consideration will be given to needy students who have successfully completed their first year of undergraduate study or those currently registered for 2nd, 3rd, 4th year and postgraduate studies. However, strongly motivated applications from matriculants with at least 70% for mathematics and science students studying towards the above Engineering fields, and registered with a University will also be considered.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Bursary Will Cover:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Tuition\/Registration<\/li>\n<li>Accommodation\/Meals<\/li>\n<li>Books\/Equipment plus compulsory excursion and seminars<\/li>\n<li>Living Allowance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Vacation Work &amp; Internships:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>SANRAL\u00a0provides an opportunity for interns to use the workplace as an active learning environment<\/li>\n<li>SANRAL\u00a0provides opportunities for new entrants with a view to acquiring skills that would make them employable<\/li>\n<li>SANRAL assists students to obtain required practical experience and to complete their qualifications<\/li>\n<li>These programmes provide SANRAL with an opportunity to compile a database of prospective employees for future recruitment purposes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Positions At SANRAL:<\/strong><br \/>\nTo fulfill roles related to the expansion, maintenance, and development of the national road network, SANRAL needs to acquire professionals with a civil engineering degree<br \/>\nwith the following qualifications:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Structural Engineering<\/li>\n<li>Traffic and Transport Engineering<\/li>\n<li>Road Engineering<\/li>\n<li>Geotechnical Engineering<\/li>\n<li>Project Management<\/li>\n<li>Environmental Engineering<\/li>\n<li>Hydrology and Stormwater Engineering<\/li>\n<li>Hydraulic and Water Engineering<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To fulfill the roles related to the Intelligence Transport System (ITS) including Electronic Toll Systems, SANRAL acquires professionals with qualifications in:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Electrical Engineering<\/li>\n<li>Computer Engineering<\/li>\n<li>Electronics Engineering<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>POST GRADUATE QUALIFICATIONS IN RELATED FIELDS ARE A DEFINITE ADVANTAGE.<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Requirements For Bursary:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A comprehensive CV<\/li>\n<li>Certified copies of the recent academic record, confirmation of registration<\/li>\n<li>Certified copy of South African Identification Document<\/li>\n<li>South African Citizenship<\/li>\n<li>Motivational letter<\/li>\n<li>Parents\u2019 or guardian\u2019s certified copy of Identification Document<\/li>\n<li>Parents\u2019 or guardian\u2019s proof of income<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements For Vacation Work &amp; Internships:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A comprehensive CV or you can request an application form<\/li>\n<li>An application stating your requirements<\/li>\n<li>Provide duration of the assignment needed<\/li>\n<li>The application must be forwarded\u00a0approximately 2-3 months before the commencement date<\/li>\n<li>A copy of your valid drivers\u2019 license<\/li>\n<li>You will be required to do a presentation after the assignment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How To Apply<\/strong><br \/>\nConsideration will be given to needy South African students who have successfully completed their first year of undergraduate studies or those currently registered for 2nd, 3rd, 4th year and postgraduate studies. However, strongly motivated applications from first-year students studying towards the Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Engineering degree in Civil Engineering and registered with a university will be considered.<\/p>\n<p>Bursary applicants will not be considered if they fail any subject in the current academic year.
