{"id":40230,"date":"2018-05-07T12:20:12","date_gmt":"2018-05-07T10:20:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=40230"},"modified":"2018-05-07T12:20:12","modified_gmt":"2018-05-07T10:20:12","slug":"internship-digby-wells-environmental-2018","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/internship-digby-wells-environmental-2018.html","title":{"rendered":"Internship at Digby Wells Environmental 2018"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Digby Wells Environmental, a service provider to the resources industry, is looking for a candidate for the Social Science Intern position in our Johannesburg Office.<\/p>\n<p>The successful candidate will be required to provide assistance to the Social Sciences team.<\/p>\n<p><b>Job Objectives:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Undertake desktop data collection via various sources;<\/li>\n<li>Conduct project field work, including social consultations;<\/li>\n<li>Develop and maintain databases;<\/li>\n<li>Critically analyze and assess data;<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to writing and editing of assessments and reports;<\/li>\n<li>Assist in compiling proposals and tender documentation; and<\/li>\n<li>Complete general administrative tasks.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Requirements<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Knowledge within the field of Social Sciences;<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of Environmental Management Systems and understanding of relevant legislation;<\/li>\n<li>Experience in sound research methodologies;<\/li>\n<li>Proven experience in scientific report writing;<\/li>\n<li>Ability to think critically;<\/li>\n<li>Willingness to travel locally and internationally, including Africa; and<\/li>\n<li>Working knowledge of Environmental Management Systems and legislation will be a benefit.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Qualifications:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Degree in a field related to Social Sciences, Development Studies, Psychology.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>An all-inclusive remuneration package will be on offer.
