The candidates must have a driver license for a manual vehicle. The interns will sign an Internship Agreement in addition to the employment contract. The agreement is to ensure commitment to the Programme, which requires, amongst others, full participation in the educational and work assignments and observance of policies and procedures. Reasonable written and verbal communication skills and computer literacy are further requirements. Interns will be subjected to the Municipal Disciplinary Code.<\/p>\n<p><strong>KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Meet specific learning outcomes as set out in the National Treasury`s Finance Intern Skills Development Program<\/li>\n<li>Gain an understanding of the relevant legislation applicable to a municipality<\/li>\n<li>Gain and implementing an understanding of financial regulations emanating from the National Treasury<\/li>\n<li>Perform duties, prepare and implement uniform norms and standards in the following sections: Income, Expenditure, Budget Office, Supply Chain Management and other sections in the Finance Department.<\/li>\n<li>Perform other general office duties as fairly requested from time to time.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>GENERAL<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Shortlisted candidates may be subjected and required to undergo a theoretical and\/or practical test. \u2013 Notwithstanding any representations to the contrary, no employment contract will come into effect until a written offer has been made by the municipality to, and accepted by, the applicant<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Applications in writing on the official\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mosselbay.gov.za\/sites\/default\/files\/documents\/AANSOEKVORM%20NUUT%202015_36.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">application form<\/a>\u00a0and accompanied by a comprehensive CV, which will be regarded as confidential, must be directed to: The Senior Manager Human Resources, P O Box 25, Mossel Bay, 6500.
