Our recruiting knowledge spans 20 years and we pride ourselves on successful long-term relationships built with both clients and applicants alike.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Jnr Technical Manager<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A well-known and established Group requires the above to join their Fibre Optics Division in order to oversee all technical and civil activities by both internal teams and sub-contractors.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Minimum requirements for the role:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Tertiary degree or diploma or a certificate in Project Management is preferred but not essential.<\/li>\n<li>Certificate for the South African Council for Project and Construction Management Profession (SACPCMP) is preferred but not essential.<\/li>\n<li>Tertiary qualification or certificate in Business Administration or related is preferred but not essential.<\/li>\n<li>Previous experience having worked in project management is advantageous.<\/li>\n<li>Previous experience having worked within a civil or engineering or project management or related environment is preferred but not essential.<\/li>\n<li>Previous telecommunications or fibre or related experience is preferred but not essential.<\/li>\n<li>Must be computer literate.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.<\/li>\n<li>Must have strong administration and people skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The successful candidate will be responsible for:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Managing five to fifty contractors on-site as well as managing about ten sites at a time.<\/li>\n<li>Monitoring and managing performance of all civil-related MDU staff to ensure that civil targets are consistently achieved.<\/li>\n<li>Setting KPIs and KPAs with HOD for all civil related staff to track performance of MDU civil staff against departmental standards and targets.<\/li>\n<li>Submitting weekly and monthly reports to HOD regarding all civil related numbers and issues.<\/li>\n<li>Developing, instituting and formulating processes for the civil aspects department to optimise performance.<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring that all assistant technical managers are technically up to standard according to the MDU specification.<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring that the quality of all build sites is executed, whilst populating Rate Cards for all MDU builds.<\/li>\n<li>Controlling costing and technical aspects of department to ensure that all builds are within budget.<\/li>\n<li>Controlling and organising procurement of stock for MDU department.<\/li>\n<li>Assigning contractors for all MDU builds.<\/li>\n<li>Negotiating terms for each MDU builds with contractors.<\/li>\n<li>Liaising with HOD and keep him up to date on all MDU civil-related issues.<\/li>\n<li>Liaising with MDU planning and acquisitions department to ensure that processes are followed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Salary package, including benefits, are negotiable depending on experience gained.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Established in 1992, the Prostaff Holdings Group is entrusted by many successful companies and skilled candidates to provide complete recruitment solutions and highly effective human resource services specialising within the&#8230;..<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1340,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"om_disable_all_campaigns":false,"jetpack_post_was_ever_published":false,"_jetpack_newsletter_access":"","_jetpack_newsletter_tier_id":0,"footnotes":"","jetpack_publicize_message":"","jetpack_is_tweetstorm":false,"jetpack_publicize_feature_enabled":true,"jetpack_social_post_already_shared":true,"jetpack_social_options":{"image_generator_settings":{"template":"highway","enabled":false}}},"categories":[121],"tags":[],"jetpack_publicize_connections":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.5 -
