hearing impairment learn to speak.\u00a0 The Trust was established in 1988 and our vision is a \u201cworld where children who are deaf have universal access to hearing technology and spoken language through ensuring the financial sustainability of all Carel du Toit Centres and preserving the Carel du Toit methodology of natural spoken language with audiological support\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The Carel du Toit Trust seeks to appoint a Fundraising Manager, to be based in Cape Town.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Fundraising Manager<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong> Cape Town<br \/>\n<strong>Salary:<\/strong> Annual remuneration package, market related<br \/>\n<strong>Report to:<\/strong> The Director<\/p>\n<p>This is a permanent, full-time position.<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of this position is to fundraise through seeking national and international funding, as well as lead and support a small fundraising team.<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Devise an overarching (corporates, trusts and foundations, as well as individuals) fundraising strategy to be approved by the Board<\/li>\n<li>Agree a departmental budget and work to achieve\/exceed the total fundraising annual target<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate and manage fundraising, comprising community, trusts, corporates, major donors, bequests and digital fundraising, across the organisation<\/li>\n<li>Build relationships with current and potential funders, including key donors, charitable trusts, foundations and other institutional funders, as well as high profile and high net worth individuals<\/li>\n<li>Research funding sources (both national and international), oversee the development of fund raising plans and write funding proposals to increase the funds of the organisation<\/li>\n<li>Write and approve funding applications, as well as progress reports to funders, ensure all are captured on the donor database<\/li>\n<li>Attend networking events and meetings with potential donors<\/li>\n<li>Prepare reports and give presentations on fundraising progress to the trustee board<\/li>\n<li>Line manage and motivate the individual fundraiser<\/li>\n<li>Participate in fundraising events\/activities as appropriate<\/li>\n<li>Participate in and support all the activities organised and promoted by the Trust<\/li>\n<li>If necessary, manage and motivate a team of volunteers who engage in fundraising activities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Grade 12 as well as a Diploma or Degree in Development, Fundraising or related qualification<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of seven years of progressive leadership, management and fundraising experience in a voluntary sector organisation or not- for-profit organisation<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge and experience in successful fundraising over the past 10 years<\/li>\n<li>Written and verbal communication skills<\/li>\n<li>IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications and DevMan<\/li>\n<li>Ability to write concisely and persuasively, paying attention to detail supported by desktop research skills<\/li>\n<li>Sales ability and strong negotiation skills<\/li>\n<li>Well-groomed, highly organised, self-motivated and displays highly ethical and professional behaviour at all times<\/li>\n<li>Superb time-management skills with the ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects and meet deadlines<\/li>\n<li>Ability to think strategically, innovatively (out of the box), problem-solve and make decisions<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work both independently as well as part of a high functioning team<\/li>\n<li>Ability to maintain client confidentiality<\/li>\n<li>Valid drivers\u2019 licence (code 08) is essential<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of hearing impairment and a passion for \u2018the cause\u2019<\/li>\n<li>Achievement of annual target through new business and existing donor development<\/li>\n<li>Executive of fundraising strategy<\/li>\n<li>Stakeholder engagement<\/li>\n<li>Communication:\u00a0 verbal and written<\/li>\n<li>Donor management<\/li>\n<li>People management<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To apply, submit
