{"id":40800,"date":"2018-06-12T10:23:45","date_gmt":"2018-06-12T08:23:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=40800"},"modified":"2018-06-12T10:23:45","modified_gmt":"2018-06-12T08:23:45","slug":"miet-africa-new-ongoing-recruitment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/miet-africa-new-ongoing-recruitment.html","title":{"rendered":"MIET Africa New Ongoing Recruitment"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>MIET Africa is an NPO working in education development across the Southern African Development Community Region.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Finance Manager<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong> Durban<br \/>\n<strong>Salary:<\/strong>\u00a0Will be discussed with the successful applicant<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Regular reporting on organisation cash-flow situation, as required<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and review of monthly management \/ board financial reporting<\/li>\n<li>Attend board meetings and present to the board on financial matters<\/li>\n<li>Review of month-end reconciliations including but not limited to:\n<ul>\n<li>Bank reconciliation<\/li>\n<li>Payroll reconciliation<\/li>\n<li>VAT reconciliation<\/li>\n<li>Petty cash reconciliation<\/li>\n<li>Fixed asset register<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Review of statutory returns before submission including but not limited to:\n<ul>\n<li>Annual tax return<\/li>\n<li>CIPC return<\/li>\n<li>NPO directorate narrative report<\/li>\n<li>PAYE\/VAT submissions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate annual audit and oversee annual audit process<\/li>\n<li>Undertake internal audits and report to audit committee<\/li>\n<li>Review organisation agreements as and when required<\/li>\n<li>Assist with the annual organisational budget process<\/li>\n<li>With regard to large projects: review\/assist with the proposal budget conceptualisation, quarterly reporting, as well as implementing the necessary financial processes for effective control<\/li>\n<li>Ad-hoc review of monthly payments<\/li>\n<li>Advise the CEO\/CFO\/Board of any financial risks that may require action<\/li>\n<li>Support Operations Manager with financial information required to assist implementation teams to develop and implement plans against budget<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that procedures facilitate operations whilst managing risk<\/li>\n<li>Motivate and lead a high-performance team<\/li>\n<li>Act as lead liaison with implementing teams to solve bottlenecks and facilitate solutions within quick timeframes<\/li>\n<li>Foster a success-oriented, accountable environment<\/li>\n<li>Represent the organisation with varied stakeholders (funders, partners and suppliers)<\/li>\n<li>Maintain continuous lines of communication, keeping the CFO informed of all critical issues<\/li>\n<li>Continuously question systems in search of greater efficiency<\/li>\n<li>Keep up to date with trends in finance world, explore and act on them<\/li>\n<li>Develop, implement and monitor the financial policies and procedures systems<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Chartered Accountant with two years post articles<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of five years\u2019 experience<\/li>\n<li>Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, self-confidence<\/li>\n<li>Strong business and financial acumen<\/li>\n<li>Strong oral and written communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Integrative team working style, easy contact, rapid to adaptation, can foster team spirit<\/li>\n<li>Ability to effectively interface with all levels of on-site and off-site employees and contractors<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work with and report on variety of funder systems and practices<\/li>\n<li>Good communication skills and capable of listening<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To apply, submit to HR Department, MIET Africa at\u00a0<strong>applications@miet.co.za<\/strong>\u00a0clearly stating \u201cFinance Manager\u201d in the subject line, and attach:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A letter of application, clearly stating the position<\/li>\n<li>Curriculum Vitae (CV)<\/li>\n<li>Copy of ID<\/li>\n<li>Copy of valid and unendorsed driver\u2019s licence<\/li>\n<li>Copy of qualifications<\/li>\n<li>Copy of most recent payslip<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Incomplete applications will not be considered.<\/p>\n<p>MIET AFRICA reserves the right not to fill the post, or to re-advertise to widen the pool of applicants or to head hunt a suitable candidate.<\/p>\n<p>MIET AFRICA also reserves the right to do a complete verification of all information supplied.<\/p>\n<p>Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:<\/strong>\u00a029 June, 2018<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>MIET Africa is an NPO working in education development across the Southern African Development Community Region.
