The Haven Night Shelter Organisation\u2019s method is to make temporary shelter, rehabilitation opportunities, social welfare services, family reunification services, physical care and support available to adult people living on the streets who are committed to reintegration.<\/p>\n<p>The Haven Night Shelter\u00a0seeks to appoint a Social Worker, to be\u00a0based in Cape Town.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Social Worker<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong> Cape Town<br \/>\n<strong>Salary:<\/strong> R 13 600 per month or prorate for a part time position<br \/>\n<strong>Duration:<\/strong> Permanent or five to eight hours post<br \/>\n<strong>Report to:<\/strong> Shelter Manager<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of the position is all social work services and the development of and monitoring of PDP\u2019s and exit plans for all clients<\/p>\n<p>Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Qualified Social Worker registered with SACSSP in South Africa<\/li>\n<li>Code B drivers licence essential non-negotiable<\/li>\n<li>Match The Shelter Manager\u2019s work programme<\/li>\n<li>Experience in managing client information, is a pre-requisite<\/li>\n<li>Efficient handling of PDP with Exit Plans<\/li>\n<li>Experience in scheduling reviews, including the reviews of the exit date<\/li>\n<li>Experience in commencing group work within three weeks of taking over, starting with at least 6 hours of group work per week<\/li>\n<li>No criminal record<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work well with people as a team<\/li>\n<li>Computer literacy, Microsoft (Outlook, Word and Excel)<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work under minimal supervision<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in English, a second\u00a0language would be beneficial<\/li>\n<li>Experience in the NGO sector will be advantages<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To apply, submit a two pages CV and motivational letter to the HR Manager\u00a0<strong>recruitment@haven.org.za<\/strong>\u00a0quoting &#8220;Social Worker Haven-Swartland Shelter&#8221; in the subject line<\/p>\n<p>Please note if all the relevant documentation (CV or motivational letter) is not attach to your application will not be considered.<\/p>\n<p>If you don&#8217;t receive a response from us within two weeks of closing date, please consider your application as unsuccessful.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>22 June, 2018<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Haven Night Shelter Organisation is a non-governmental organisation that works to help get the homeless to a home.
