{"id":40841,"date":"2018-06-13T12:02:11","date_gmt":"2018-06-13T10:02:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=40841"},"modified":"2018-06-13T12:06:55","modified_gmt":"2018-06-13T10:06:55","slug":"chrysalis-academy-new-job-opening","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/chrysalis-academy-new-job-opening.html","title":{"rendered":"Chrysalis Academy New Job Opening"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Chrysalis Academy is a nonprofit organisation based in Tokai offering a three-month residential youth development programme for youth of the Western Cape.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Social Worker<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Job Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Cape Town<br \/>\n<strong>Salary:<\/strong> R187 629 yearly<\/p>\n<p>This is a one year fixed term contract<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide counselling services to students, graduates, Instructors and families as well as staff and interns<\/li>\n<li>Create and maintain a database of relevant social services organisations<\/li>\n<li>Provide coaching services to the Instructor Team and\u00a0Interns at the Academy<\/li>\n<li>Co-facilitate parent and family workshops<\/li>\n<li>Facilitation of life skills programmes for students, Instructors and graduates<\/li>\n<li>Provide therapeutic support groups for students, (e.g. Substance Abuse group, Positive Parenting etc.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Degree in Social Work<\/li>\n<li>Registered with the SA Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP)<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of three years\u2019 Social Worker experience<\/li>\n<li>Experience working with young adults<\/li>\n<li>Counselling experience in trauma, loss and substance abuse<\/li>\n<li>A valid driver\u2019s license is compulsory<\/li>\n<li>A well-established network of referrals<\/li>\n<li>Display exemplary youth leadership\/role modelling and share the Academy\u2019s\u00a0values and embody the holistic approach<\/li>\n<li>Counselling skills<\/li>\n<li>Communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Facilitation skills<\/li>\n<li>Report writing skills<\/li>\n<li>Computer skills Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word and Excel)<\/li>\n<li>Administrative skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To apply, submit a copy of your CV with a motivation letter; proof of SACSSP registration; certified copies of ID, Licence and Qualification\u00a0to\u00a0<strong>jobs@chrysalisacademy.org.za\u00a0<\/strong>or hand deliver it to our offices at Porter Estate, Tokai Road, and Tokai.<\/p>\n<p>Incomplete applications will not be considered.<\/p>\n<p>Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline: <\/strong>\u00a015 June, 2018<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Chrysalis Academy is a nonprofit organisation based in Tokai offering a three-month residential youth development programme for youth of the Western Cape.
