The Finance Controller is responsible to guarantee a proper financial, accounting and administration management, the compliance with legal framework in the country, and the quality of JAMSA\u2019s activities. The position also contributes to the development and implementation of organisational and funding strategies, policies and practices.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Finance Controller<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Job Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Johannesburg<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Elaborate annual country budget and project donor\u2019s budgets<\/li>\n<li>Analyse and follow up project and country budgets, taking into account each donor\u2019s requirements and internal JAMSA regulations<\/li>\n<li>Prepare timely accounting and financial reports as well as cash requests<\/li>\n<li>Oversee monthly and quarterly financial reports to donors, ensuring these are in line with donor requirements and program activities<\/li>\n<li>Maintain an up-to-date accurate accounting system, including computer data entry and paper file system<\/li>\n<li>Establish internal financial and administrative procedures compatible with the country&#8217;s laws and the organisation\u2019s global policies<\/li>\n<li>Ensure appropriate documentation of projects for accountability and future donor inspection and or internal audits<\/li>\n<li>Ensure training to local partners in financial resources management<\/li>\n<li>Guarantee that administrative and purchasing procedures are respected and follow the criteria established by JAM and donors<\/li>\n<li>Oversight of all those working with any financial procedures<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to short and long-term organisational planning and strategy as a member of the management team<\/li>\n<li>Support the Head of programmes dept with the development of the annual funding strategy<\/li>\n<li>Maintain a strong working relationship with other management team members<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Relevant financial and administration management qualifications in the relevant fields<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of five years\u2019 experience in financial management, with sound understanding of working with an \u00a0\u00a0international NGO<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge and experience of international and local donor funding environment, including financial reporting requirements, trends and procedures<\/li>\n<li>Experience and flexible approach to managing and prioritising a high workload and multiple tasks<\/li>\n<li>Computer skills and proficient in excel, word, outlook, power point and access, and Sun-systems<\/li>\n<li>Organisational skills, including the ability to plan comprehensively, set priorities, and manage multiple projects\/deadlines efficiently<\/li>\n<li>Strong communication skills, with written and spoken English<\/li>\n<li>Proven ability to provide support, guidance and training to financial and nonfinancial teams<\/li>\n<li>Interpersonal skills, ability to work with discretion regarding confidential information, possession of sound judgment and attention to detail<\/li>\n<li>A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To apply, submit CV Fiona\u00a0<strong>recruitment.sa@jamint.com<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>17 June 2018<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Joint Aid Management (JAM) is a South African founded humanitarian nonprofit organisation that works to empower Africans to create better lives for themselves.
