The\u00a0AIDS Foundation of South Africa\u00a0(AFSA) is a well-respected non-governmental organisation that acts as an interface between donors and community-based organisations (CBOs) working in the HIV\/AIDS sector by placing donor funds with strategically selected CBOs and providing them with ongoing management, technical support and capacity building.<\/p>\n

This is a fixed term contract (1 July to 31 March 2021)<\/p>\n

AFSA has been selected as the implementing organisation for the Community Work Programme (CWP) in the districts listed below. CWP is a Department of Cooperative Governance programme designed to provide an employment safety net, by providing participants with a predictable number of days of work per month. (Bitou, Knysna, Mosselbay, George, Hessequa, Kannaland, Oudtshoorn, Beaufort West, Prince Albert, Laignsburg,Theewaterskloof, Swellendam, Cape Agulhas and Overstrand)<\/p>\n

The programme is targeted at unemployed and\/or underemployed people of working age, including those whose livelihood activities are insufficient to lift them out of poverty.<\/p>\n
