Sponsorship Programme New Recruitment"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Since 2000, the Student Sponsorship Programme (SSP), a nonprofit trust that has provided educational opportunities to hundreds of talented South African students from low-income families to attend the best secondary schools in Gauteng and the Eastern Cape.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Fundraising Director<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Job Location:\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0Johannesburg<br \/>\n<strong>Report to:<\/strong> Executive Director<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of the Fundraising Director is to be responsible for SSP\u2019s business development and fundraising function encompassing: fundraising, stakeholder relationship management, grant\/sponsorship management, financial management, including but not limited to, corporations, foundations, trusts, high net worth individuals and all other funding partners.<\/p>\n<p>Requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelors\u2019 Degree from a recognised university in Humanities or Marketing and PR or Communications or Business Administration<\/li>\n<li>A postgraduate qualification would be an added advantage<\/li>\n<li>A recognised Monitoring and Evaluation qualification would be an added advantage<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of two to three years\u2019 relevant experience in an NGO and\/or social enterprise environment<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of five to ten years\u2019 experience of successful fundraising with a proven track record of meeting a target of multi-million funds raised, per annum, in a personal capacity<\/li>\n<li>Proven ability to prepare and deliver presentations to internal and external stakeholders<\/li>\n<li>Proven ability to write excellent proposals, grant applications and detailed reports in the local and global funding context<\/li>\n<li>Design and implementation of fundraising strategies, projects and events<\/li>\n<li>Writing, communication and networking skills, with a flair for developing new and existing relationships with donors<\/li>\n<li>Ability to identify and develop long-term funding streams within relevant, and prospective target markets<\/li>\n<li>Ability to interpret CSI budgets, and analyse spending trends Understand how CSI trends impact on funding and donor behaviour<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of digital and crowdfunding tools and strategies<\/li>\n<li>An understanding of corporate social investment and donor dynamics within the South African context<\/li>\n<li>An understanding of donor dynamics in the global development context<\/li>\n<li>Financial management \/ backstopping skills<\/li>\n<li>Experience in managing teams for performance<\/li>\n<li>Ability to persuade and negotiate<\/li>\n<li>An interest in, and commitment to, SSP\u2019s vision<\/li>\n<li>Entrepreneurial attitude<\/li>\n<li>Own vehicle and valid driver\u2019s licence<\/li>\n<li>Must be able to travel within South Africa regularly, and internationally, occasionally<\/li>\n<li>Business acumen<\/li>\n<li>Financial acumen and numeracy<\/li>\n<li>Analytical thinker<\/li>\n<li>Ability to identify opportunities and convert them into fundraising for the organisation<\/li>\n<li>High emotional quotient<\/li>\n<li>Social awareness<\/li>\n<li>Cultural literacy<\/li>\n<li>Ability to juggle conflicting priorities and work under pressure<\/li>\n<li>Self-starter<\/li>\n<li>Courteous,
